Tables Redesign

Hey there.

I want to walk you through a new feature update that we just made to our tables output.

So I'm going to go in here and I'm going to put in a query, I'm going to select use table mode and then I'm going to submit that query.

Now this is going to run our table response.

It's using the assistant experience, it's looking at our data set, it's going to start composing this table output.

So, so instead of looking at a chat, we're looking at a dedicated output of tabular spreadsheet style data.

Now you can see in here, this is showing that there are custom assistant settings being used.

This is tied to the fact that it is a table output instead of our, our standard chat output.

You can click on Extract data will allow you to download this response table at any point with a CSV, with a custom set of any data that you want on top of it, which is really valuable.

You can copy the link to the session to share this with somebody else and you can view the search strategy, which is what's going to run the response.

It's really what the assistant is doing behind the scenes that you can see access to.

So this is going to show you what searches are used.

It had generated this individual Boolean query, which is why you can see the keywords and these operators like and, and, or in parentheses and quotes to get accurate keywords.

You can edit these searches.

You can view all the publications it's looking at.

So it looked at the top 41 publications to draft this response, which you can see show up here and you can view that data if you want to.

Clicking on these will open those up and you can run a search inside of our search experience.

Now what we can see here is we have the reference here, the column here, you can sort the reference, you can see the individual smart citation data that you can look at, you can link to the article, you can see metadata about it, you can choose any of the actions, you can look at the response itself.

So you can see any additional information there.

And then what you can do, which is really the fun part about tables, is start to create additional columns.

So we have some presets like population methods, limitations, intervention outcome and geography.

If you just want to have some preset columns that are very standard, but you can also add a custom column here.

So if I want to click on custom column here, I'm going to change the title to sample size and then I'm going to say show me the sample size for this paper and we'll do a standard response and keep it short here.

So we're going to hit add column.

And then what this is going to do is it's going to generate the column, it's going to run that against just that sample size.

So it's going to pull that same response, response based off of those 25 results, that it's looking at or whatever result set it's going to view and it's going to show you.

So I can see, okay, the sample size is not specified on this one.

I can see that the study is not explicitly stated here.

So you'll see areas where that shows up.

You can link through and you can look at different, pages of these to see studies where the sample size is referenced.

And if you want to add additional columns, you can do that.

You can remove this column if you want.

You can also edit it if you want to change the title, the prompt itself, any of the formatting options, or answer length as well.

Now, we're continuing to refine this, feature to make continued improvements to the table's output and look at some additional functionality that we're really excited about sharing soon.
