I wanted to drop a quick note in praise of Simon and our relationship.

Simon has been a partner in our go to market motion.

He has excelled in probably more than any design I've worked with.

Being able to switch between a vision, right the exciting part, building something new for the future and our immediate tactile needs, of what the team needs, to make sure that we're quickly forward.

Our engagement has been a partnership.

It's not a consultant or a contractor that kind of comes in and isn't invested.

he's really part of our team and I see him as part of the team, engineering, developers see him as part of the team.

he's available and open to them.

and I think he's just a class A product designer.

he thinks deeply about, about the design and experience of course.

But before that, before color, even before framing, before wireframes, we're always coming to an agreement and a conversation around the outcomes.

We're trying to achieve the user's delight, opportunity, within our value themes and unique product and where we see opportunities I think to move fast.

We started with a template, right, in general with some tweaks.

but these design systems inside of a template they quickly break down as you push the envelope and the components you're trying to create something unique that is delightful to your users.

but the vision that we have didn't align and that's where Simon has stepped in and helped paint a clear low cognitive load experience that we're really excited to continue to improve.

he didn't step in and immediately say hey we need to redesign everything.

Although I know he would have excelled at and that we're actually now just getting to that opportunity.

But it would have slowed down our go to market motion too much.

so he was really successful.

it quickly identifying some high impact changes within our existing product.

Existing the experience that we had built while polishing and evolving towards a system that we are now lucky to have and to grow with.

you know I think this flexibility is one of the things that I enjoy the most.

delivering on the short term the immediate tactile needs of the team.

but with an eye on the vision and making sure that we're moving in the right direction as time moves on.

but now we're able to do that with something that is continually improving, continually delightful to use, tasteful and these components are becoming predictable through the product and even developers are just picking up, and applying them throughout the product.

Where we had old designs and things that weren't really a great experience, design and really tasteful design is a bridge, right?

It's, it's how your users interact with your vision, your ideas.

And making the complex easy takes patience.

And Simon had that in spades, especially with me, and, the feedback loops that we have.

I rely on him every week, to deliver these thoughtful experiences and designs.

And as we launch our product into the wild, we wouldn't be here without his help.

And, he's delivered every time on time.

and as I reflect on the year, or actually a little bit more now, with varying degrees of commitments and time, I think my weekly session with Simon is probably maybe my favorite call of the week.

it's a joy to communicate, brainstorm, design, see feedback, share insights.

And.

And I always leave that call with a really good, feeling like we're.

We're moving forward.

And we're moving forward faster than I thought we would.
