12 Days of Tella - Day 5: Migration Tool ✈️

Welcome back to 12 Days of Tella.

Today is day five.

It's Monday.

We are back from the weekend.

The hat is back.

Today we're launching the Tella migration tool, which means you can migrate from your other screen recording tool into Tella automatically without needing to download and re upload the videos.

We take care of that for you.

So to use this, head to Settings and then go to Migrate and then you can see which other tool I'm talking about.

So let me show you how this works.

Here is my old Loom account.

And if I want to move my videos from Loom into Tella, then, I can just go and grab a link to a video paste in here, hit import, and then, this thing will tell you, that the import is taking place.

Just let that load a moment.

Shouldn't take too much longer, I hope.

And then, we'll have a video imported.

Maybe this is a long video.

There we go.

Video imported.

Here it is.

we can add this to a playlist, we can import another.

And now this is just part of our account.

And then we can go into Loom and we can make that video private or, delete that video, whatever we want to do with it.

You don't need to just do one video at a time.

So if we import some more.

I've got this folder here.

You have to make the folder public.

You have to make the videos public for this.

You can switch them back to private afterwards or delete them.

so I've got this folder here that's got a bunch of videos in it.

And so I can just grab this and I can drop that in here.

And now I can hit import.

And this is going to import all of the videos in that folder.

And so what you can do here is you can organize your Loom videos into folders and if they aren't already, and then you can move those folders into Tella, like that, one folder at a time.

And then once the migration is complete, you can add all of those videos that have been imported into a playlist in Tella.

And so you can keep the same organizational mapping between the two services.

This one's probably going to take a bit longer because it's a videos.

no, there it is.

It's all good.

So, we've got all of our videos, we can see where they are, we can open them up, we can watch them, and then we can also click Add to playlist, make a new one, add it to an existing one, whatever you want to do.

it's not just Loom, you can import in batches from in bulk.

You can also do this from your desktop.

You can upload a bunch of files and import them into Tella like that so that you're all up and running with Tella as your main screen recorder.

That is the Tella migration tool.
