AI for Good: Your Nonprofit AI Hub 💡

I'm going to do another demo real quick of the AI for good platform that I built on base 44, which is where I build all of my apps.

and this is one of the very first apps that I built.

It took a really long time because I was trying to.

I tested it on a lot of platforms, but ended up using base 44.

And so I'm going to give you a quick walkthrough of it.

So you can see here, this is AI for good.

your home for AI learning and social impact.

The idea behind this started out as just being a platform that housed a bunch of AI tools that I use the most.

For the last couple years I've been testing AI tools that are coming out and I've been doing that like every day.

So I was like, well, I need to keep this somewhere in a repository where I can access it easier, and I can find the tools that I need immediately a lot quicker.

So, I thought that this would be a beneficial thing to do or, to set up for other nonprofits who are kind of new to the AI world but would really benefit from using some of these tools.

So, then it expanded from that from being just a repository to being more of like, an educational tool for other non profits who are exploring AI.

So, so let's walk through it real quick.

It kind of, kind of gives you a breakdown of what you can expect to see.

right now I have it.

I have most of the platform available for free, but if you are interested in, accessing the internal tools that I've built and the AI classroom, there is a $9 a month fee.

let's start from the beginning.

We've got new tools.

So these are three tools that I've just built internally.

and they're pretty basic, but they each serve a purpose.

We've got an interactive decision tree and that's for people who are not sure what AI tool to use because there's so many of them out there and so they want some help.

So, I'll quickly, quickly run through this.

It's very, very simple.

what's your primary goal?

Raise funds, spread awareness, create content, or manage operations?

I'm big on manage operations and admin tasks on finding AI tools to help me do that better.

So I'm Going to choose that, which operations tasks needs help.

want to track metrics.

No, I want to automate repetitive tasks.

That's what I want to do.

So it's going to give you the top two recommended forms to do that.

Zapier and make came up with those two.

And it gives you a reason as to why, based on your needs.

Here's two excellent tools.

and then, yeah, it kind of gives you a brief overview of them and then you can start over and do it again.

So we've got that.

We've got the AI Social media generator, which is pretty cool.

you tell it all about your nonprofit, what platforms you're going to be using, your call to action, what you want the purpose of your post to be.

and it generates, not only does it generate options for that specific platform, but it also gives you ideas on the kind of images to use.

And so it's really, really helpful.

and then finally, this one I haven't built yet, but it's the AI Nonprofit plan builder.

And I have really big plans for this one because, I want this to be for those who are just starting to build their nonprofit.

How do you put together a business plan for that?

And so that is coming soon.

So then we move to the main of core of what this platform is.

And this is really for finding tools easily.

Finding AI tools easily.

we have recently added tools, so I'll be adding tools to this all the time since I'm always exploring and testing out new tools.

will add the ones up top that I've been using the most lately.

And, OpenAI Academy is a really good one.

all of these are really cool, but here's the library.

And you can search by either the tool directory or if you need a quick fix tool.

And by quick fix tool, I mean I need to decrease the size of my video file to upload it to a platform.

I feel like anytime that happens, I'm always scrambling, like, trying to remember what platform can do that for me for free.

And so you can just type in, you know, video.

And Convertio, is a great one.

It converts images, documents and video files into different formats.

yeah, so you can search, you can browse.

So that's super, super helpful for the quick fix stuff for like, little things.

And then the AI tool directory, the main directory, has a lot of stuff that, is more specific and niche.

Like 11 labs.

I love 11 labs.

I've been using them for years for any type of AI voiceover they are the best, hands down.

they're so good.

Another tool here is let's see, I mean Canva.

Everybody and their mom uses Canva.

They've come a long way.

Love them.

And a lot of these are specific to nonprofits, but a lot of them are not.

but they all incorporate AI in some form or fashion.

Note is one of my favorites recently.

If you do any type of teaching or education, try out Note.

It's fantastic.

So that is the directory of the tools.

Then we've got the AI classroom.

I found a platform, an AI platform called Oboe.

And I am obsessed with it.

It basically will take any topic that you're interested in learning about and it will quickly break it down into like, a few different digestible formats.

So like a five minute podcast is one, a high level two, minute read overview, a more in depth overview.

it just breaks it down into different ways of learning and I love that because everybody learns differently.

And so there, I created some micro courses through their platform and then put them on here.

And so these are bite sized interactive lessons that you will help you get up to speed on any AI topics.

So AI topics, again, specific to the nonprofit sector, since that's where I work.

And so you, you can kind of see here what we've got.

they're fantastic.

You can, I'll, I'll click one here and you can see, this is AI powered social media for a full month of engagement.

So this walks you through how to develop content for social media using AI for a full month.

You can learn by listening.

So there's a podcast episode and a lecture recording.

They are fantastic.

It sounds like a real podcast.

the lecture recording also really fantastic if you have more time.

and then if you scroll down, which for whatever reason it's not letting me, you can do a deep dive by reading.

And yeah, it's great.

It's fantastic.

I love Oboe.

I wish I would have thought of that idea.

Then we've got the AI knowledge library.

This is just a glossary, an AI glossary of common terms that we're hearing a lot in the media, on LinkedIn, on Facebook, on everything, where it's like, okay, what does this mean when I hear the word algorithm, when I hear the word API, or yeah, when I hear clustering, computer vision, data mining.

What does this mean?

And so I've got a bunch of things in here.

Hallucination.

That's a big one.

Lately people are like what does it mean when AI hallucinates?

And that's yeah.

So this is just again, knowledge library for people who are interested.

And then these are, curated practical guides and tutorials that I specifically built and made, to help with just random kind of random things, but all, all to do with nonprofits and AI.

So this is an AI marketing starter kit.

so if you pay, pay the $9 a month to access this, you get this full guided starter kit.

And not only does it provide you with step by step instructions, it gives you links to specific tools, it gives you data, it gives you, citations.

So you can see where I'm getting this information from.

And again, it's just, it's breaking it down.

It's breaking the AI ecosystem down into more digestible information and digestible formats so that you can learn it and actually be excited about it and not overwhelmed.

but again, I've got links in here for some of the, most common AI tools I use.

For certain things, I give you practical use cases.

So you're not just reading about it, you're actually seeing how it can be applied.

yeah, it's, it's exciting.

So we got AI Ethics for nonprofits.

That's a big one I've been pushing.

you know, AI is implemented in so many things that we use nowadays that we don't even realize we're using.

But a lot of nonprofits do not have an AI ethics policy.

And so, that's something I'm really passionate about building for my own organization that I work for and for the clients I work with.

And then finally we have community.

And this is just a discussion board section, for people to throw ideas back and forth.

if people have questions and want some answers, it's, it's a great place for that.

And then we've also got to suggest a tool.

So, for people who are looking to, for someone who maybe stumbles across a really good AI tool that they don't see featured, they can put it here, little bio about me and how to access my school community.
