I just remembered that I promised to send you a high level overview of just some funky sales funnels and what I actually do for a living.
00:08
So here it is.
00:09
I'm sure you've seen a mirror board before and I'm just going to totally freestyle this.
00:14
so let's hope that this works out fine.
00:16
And if you can hear some background noise for context, I've got an air fryer literally right behind me.
00:20
So yeah, if you hear any sort of background noise then, you know, tough.
00:23
This microphone is not good enough, clearly.
00:25
anyway, so essentially there are five main things when it comes to like any sort of knowledge based info, products, kind of like business similar to my 1.
00:34
And what most course bros like myself will tell you is basically just like five things that like people like myself care about, right?
00:42
So like the first thing is traffic and traffic comes from one of two sources.
00:46
So I've got my LinkedIn which right now I basically can't actually get access to because I'm locked out.
00:52
And secondly I have my YouTube channel.
00:54
You can see I've got 1.1k subscribers and some really dodgy thumbnails that some random dude does for me for like literally like $5 per thumbnail, right?
01:02
So essentially the first thing that you need to establish is like where the hell do you get eyeballs and attention from?
01:08
So in my case I've got YouTube and I've got LinkedIn.
01:10
You don't really need more than one, more than one place.
01:13
I would say it's nice if you have two places.
01:15
If you have like LinkedIn and then something else on top of that.
01:17
Those are the easiest places to basically get traffic from.
01:20
As soon as you have the traffic, it's just a matter of where do you capture the lead magnets, right?
01:25
So like where do you actually get them to opt in and share their email?
01:29
In my case I've got a bunch of like funky things that I'm working on now.
01:33
But for the most part, because I implement this software called clay.com, i, I basically just have this random dodgy looking old newsletter thing that I built like a year ago.
01:42
And it's basically just a newsletter and people will choose a specific option and based on one of these five options they get put into a specific type of funnel.
01:51
So as I mentioned, basically phase one is just the traffic, phase two is the lead magnet.
01:56
And typically this is not really a lead magnet, it's more of like an opt in rather where.
02:01
But it's basically the same Thing.
02:03
So like it's just one way of opting them into a resource.
02:06
On top of that I have a bunch of different lead magnets on YouTube as well.
02:10
So for instance, if they watch a video or if they read a post at the very bottom here.
02:14
So for instance, like take this random video or handsome folk over here.
02:18
I've edited that video myself as you can tell.
02:20
at the bottom of each video there is a specific opt in guide as well.
02:24
So if I click into this, you should be able to see that it now asks for my email address.
02:28
And then every single person has to opt in using their email address.
02:31
And that's basically stage two of like this kind of thing where you get their opt in after you get there, opt in.
02:37
The third thing is just segmentation.
02:39
So in other words, like, what's the.
02:41
Like are they, are they a good fit for my service based agency or are they a good fit for my course?
02:47
Right, so that's the third thing over here.
02:49
And then the fourth thing after the segmentation is basically and like, let me just touch on segmentation briefly.
02:55
So basically there is one tool called Write Message and this tool enables you to do quiz funnels.
03:02
And I'm sure you're familiar with quiz funnels.
03:03
It's like, answer these three questions to determine what type of, I don't know, like what type of personality you have, right.
03:10
And then based on that it will send you the emails based on your personality type.
03:14
So this is really, really cool for segmentation.
03:15
It's quite, it's like super entry level.
03:17
I used it before and it's pretty decent.
03:19
So I'm just going to attach the link here and I'll send you the mirror board afterwards.
03:22
So that's the segmentation piece and then after you segment the audience it's the indoctrination phase.
03:28
At the very least.
03:29
That's what I heard in some random YouTube video two years ago and it seems to work.
03:32
And basically indoctrination is the process of after you segment the audience to drip feed them with valuable content.
03:40
So in my case I basically have like this newsletter thing.
03:43
When someone signs up for the newsletter, I just hammer them with like emails once every four days, being like, hey, if you opted in because of this, like for instance if we look here, like if you opted in and you want to learn clay and make money using clay, then the chances are you first of all want to understand like the tech stack around clay or something like that.
04:01
Or like if you're a recruiter, the chances Are you're doing it things manually.
04:05
Here is how you can automate it.
04:07
So essentially in this fourth part, it's just a matter of indoctrinating them and just saying like, hey, there are thousands of recruiters like you who are doing all of this stuff manually.
04:16
Clay's the answer.
04:17
Here is how you can do it.
04:18
Here is all the free value.
04:20
And then at the bottom of this in documentation emails, you just put in the PS line very subtly when the time comes, here are two ways that I can maybe help you.
04:28
That's what 99% of like course bros do.
04:31
Some of them do it more aggressively than others.
04:33
But typically most of my emails will say at the bottom of the email it will say P.S.
04:38
like here is two ways that I can help you.
04:40
Right?
04:40
And then after the indoctrination stage, we have stage number five, which is sales pages.
04:46
And for this, honestly speaking, you just need to have a good website.
04:49
So I've got my Unlock Clay website.
04:51
Statistically one in six people that goes on this website buys, right?
04:55
Because it's been built by like a super, super good agency.
04:58
And you can see it's got like a 30 day money back guarantee.
05:01
It's totally risk free.
05:02
It's a killer course.
05:03
Like this is my course aspect of the business.
05:06
And then my other website, which is really bad in terms of conversions, but I don't mind it because like we've got more than enough clients and I hate agency work.
05:13
This is the second website which is like to automate sales, teams work and like we implement this software called Clay for people, right?
05:20
So that's that.
05:20
And the idea behind it is like 99% of people, if they bother, they have like one sales page for like a low ticket course or education business offer.
05:29
Another thing for whatever this is.
05:32
What is this?
05:32
The, yeah, the website for the course, for, yeah, for the agency.
05:36
And then on top of that, like I've got, I think this consulting thing as well which is unlock, Clay consulting.
05:42
Hourly consulting calls to help you implement clay 10 times faster.
05:45
And spoiler alert, all of this is built using the exact same template for the website.
05:49
So you, you can see over here, it's got like, hey, P.S.
05:51
there are two ways I can help you, right?
05:53
So the whole idea behind this is in theory, as long as you have some sort of skill, be it like sales, operations, website design, whatever it is, that skill a lot of people probably don't have, a lot of people want to learn it and for them it's just an Impulse purchase a lot of the time, or they genuinely want to spend a lot of time and, you know, go through the course and that kind of thing.
06:14
So this is basically my business model in super simple terms.
06:18
In like five steps, 99 of like, a lot of the income comes from the agency stuff.
06:24
A lot of like, I mean like 30 or 20 comes from the agency, 60% pro, or like 50 comes from the course.
06:30
And then another 20 comes from, this thing that I'm looking to revamp, which is basically like my affiliate links.
06:36
Because basically what I do is I plug them an affiliate link and then I've got a discount code which obviously gives them like from 10 to 30% off.
06:42
And the benefit of using this is that they have a bunch of different, videos explaining how I use that tool.
06:49
So after they watch a whole video of me explaining that tool, they think like, I might as well use the affiliate link because it gives me a discount.
06:55
And this guy is nice because he explains it to me.
06:57
And then the main thing that you can then do, once again, like, this is kind of what I do here for my course.
07:02
I have this GPT over here.
07:04
And that's what like most people should be doing right now.
07:07
I don't know if everyone is doing it already, but basically in this case now, if you're studying that course, the best way to make money from the course is so that students can drop questions here instead of asking you these questions, you know, via WhatsApp or Slack or whatever.
07:20
So instead here, let's say they say, like, how do, how do I scrape Google Maps as an example, right?
07:27
Like I.
07:27
And this is a question that people ask me and I would usually say, use Outscraper or use SERPA Dev or use one of these fancy tools.
07:34
Instead.
07:34
This thing basically just like in theory, makes money in the background because it just gives you a recommendation.
07:39
So Outscrape is the tool that I just mentioned.
07:42
It gives you a link to that video straight away.
07:44
So it opens up like a loom video that I did about this tool.
07:46
And then after that it gives you also a discount at the bottom here, if there is some sort of discount, or something of that sort that's going for that tool.
07:54
So this is like the best way this GPT is connected to this library.
07:59
And then as soon as we see a specific use case for like a, like when a student posts a specific question here, it basically just accesses the library, pulls out the tool, gives them the, like, the discount code, referral code, and A video.
08:11
And that basically then helps out the students.
08:13
So more or less this is like a high level breakdown of this.
08:16
I love actually building like over the last year, this is what I've been doing.
08:20
The year before that I just ran the agency side of the business and I was like quite cool.
08:24
But when you have like 10 clients, that's when it's like diminishing returns because you hate every single one of them.
08:30
at the very least, like in my case.
08:32
So yeah, that's a high level summary.
08:33
Let me know if you have any questions on that.
08:35
I'm not sure how useful that is.
08:36
And the influencer dude that I mentioned, who's like whose funnels guy I've got right now, that influence is called Ali Abdoul.
08:44
And in my opinion he's got the best like sales funnels for info products out there.
08:49
So worth opting into to just have a read of that as well.
08:51
Anyways, hope this helps.
08:52
yeah, buzzing to chat about this later on because I genuinely, I just love talking about funnels specifically.
08:57
And this is like the five step funnel, essentially, like five step funnel everyone uses, right?
09:02
Like literally every single person more or less has this funnel and then they over complicate it and then build like hundreds of different things on top of that.
09:08
Anyways, I was expecting this to be like five minutes.
09:10
I can see my air fryer always got another three minutes, on there.
09:14
So yeah, if you have any questions, let me know.
09:15
Other than that, I'm sure we'll chat soon about this.
