Hello and welcome to this video on SOF validation.
00:04
In this video you will learn how to navigate the parser and utilize its features to validate an sof.
00:11
On this page, the PDF is displayed on the left side with unhidden events highlighted in green.
00:17
The first two pages are not an sof.
00:19
The first SOF event appears here with the highlighting green.
00:24
These events create cards shown on the right side of the screen The parser works by identifying events defined as one row in the document.
00:33
On this row, it looks for the time and the event and translates that to the Voyager Dictionary of Events.
00:40
These events create cards shown on the right side of the screen.
00:43
At the very top you can see an accordion menu where you can go back to the port call or the claim or the voyage if your claim is linked to the Voyager voyage management system.
00:57
Under this you can see the Done button that you press when your validation is complete, or the Save button that you can use in the interim.
01:07
You can also upload more than one SOF to a port call that will be shown in a future video.
01:14
the PDF preview, you have the option to download the PDF or zoom in and out on the document or reset.
01:22
You can also change the view of your screen to change the ratio of the PDF or the cards.
01:32
Or on your mouse pad or mouse while holding control to zoom in and out within the PDF.
01:40
You also have the option to change the size of the green highlights on the page to whatever is most visually appealing.
01:48
Page numbers are shown on the top left of every page.
01:52
These may be used later, so it's good to note them.
01:55
To remove event, you will simply hide it by clicking on a green line.
02:01
Now you can see it's been removed as a card from the right side to add it back in or add a new event, click on a line on the PDF to create a new highlight to find the event details.
02:13
Hover over a highlight and the right side of the screen will auto scroll to the event highlighted in green.
02:21
This also works the opposite way.
02:23
If you hit the magnifying glass on an event card, it will take you to that event on the PDF.
02:30
Usually the first thing I will do is hit the magnifying glass for the first event to take me to the start of the sof in the event that I have a big document.
02:40
In the event card you will see the location of the event in the PDF you can click on this to copy the link and send it to someone else.
02:49
You will also see the event name using the Voyager Dictionary of events.
02:55
The time and in future videos we will go over the tags and comments.
03:00
The events are a drop down and you can click into them to see your other options.
03:04
The date can either be edited by typing into the box or using the calendar module.
03:10
At the bottom of the card you can see the exact text that the parser picked up before classifying it to the Voyager dictionary.
03:18
On the top right you'll see an option to add a timestamp or a duration, hide the card or delete it.
03:27
Timestamps like this one only have one time duration events have a start and an end time and have both a category and an event type.
03:39
So for example Awaiting delay awaiting on cargo analysis if a time or event is highlighted in red it means that there's an error.
03:50
In this case it's a duration event has the exact same start and end time.
03:54
If your event is missing entirely, that will also show an error and it will not let you complete the SOF validation until those have cleared.
04:03
A modified cargo table is also shown to easily make adjustments without going back into the port call.
04:09
Here you can see the vessel name, the operation load or discharge, the port, the terminal, and if you have both of these chosen, also the birth.
