Within it, I'm going to show you how to link your Citizen Space site to one of our two real time Power BI dashboards that will allow you to get insights and updates on everything that's going on on your Citizen Space site.
00:18
So let's jump into things.
00:20
As you can see, here's a Power BI dashboard I set up earlier.
00:23
This one is the site overview template and we can go in and we've got all these filters across the top that allow us to filter our data.
00:30
So this is all real time data that's been pulled from our Citizen Space sites.
00:34
And if we use these filters we can, for example, go and select a specific workspace.
00:39
So I'm going to select my practice workspace and you can see that the data updates on this dashboard to reflect all those activities that are only within the practice workspace on my site.
00:49
I can also select all and then go in and select whether I want to see public or private activities.
00:55
This again will update the information on the page and you can select multiple.
00:59
So for example, I want to see all public activities that were released within a specific date range or that are open or in draft or closed.
01:09
I can simply do that and it will update to show those activities.
01:13
We've also got the Activity Detail tab across the bottom here which gives you a much more granular view of what's going on.
01:20
This can be really useful for if you want to get into more detail and more depth on what activities going on, for example in a specific workspace.
01:28
And as you can see here again it updates got the days till closed, you've got the state and you've got the responses count.
01:35
This is all really useful information to give you really good insight into what is happening on your Citizen Space site.
01:41
We've also got the Citizen Space users template.
01:45
So if I just select that again we've got the different filters across the top you can filter by status, workspace, position, last login.
01:53
So for example position here we can go on activity admin, analyst, site admin etc.
01:59
So if I want to for example have a look at any workspace admins, any activities that workspace admins have got under their name or if I want to go in and just look at activity admins only or look at the whole thing or again look at specific workspaces or specific status of the activity or just look by when the users were last logged in.
02:20
Again, we also have another tab across the bottom.
02:22
This one's the User Details tab and it gives us more specific information on the users and their details.
02:27
now it would probably take you quite some time to build out dashboards like these yourselves, which is why we've made it super simple and easy for you and pre built these templates for you to use.
02:37
It does require you have Citizen Space API turned on.
02:40
But in order to do this and to get copies of these templates, you simply need to contact your customer success manager or email us at, support@delib.net To actually set the Power BI templates up you only really need two things.
02:54
Your Citizen Space URL, and an API key.
02:57
So I've already created an API key and given it full access to lots of permissions on our site.
03:04
this is because the dashboards themselves are really comprehensive.
03:08
So I want it to be able to access all the relevant data it needs.
03:11
So what we're going to do to start here is we're going to go to our folders and we're going to open the site overview template.
03:19
Once that is loaded up we're first going to be presented with is a pop up box, asking us to enter the API URL.
03:28
So we're going to need to go to our Citizen Space site.
03:33
I'm going to need to copy the URL, and we'll go back to our Power BI and here we go, we'll just paste that in here.
03:40
And it's really important to remember at this point to add api/1/ to the end of the URL.
03:50
So once we've done that we're going to click load then we're going to be presented with another pop up box where it's trying to load and pull all the data through from your Citizen Space site.
03:58
So then we get another pop up and this is asking us to enter our API key information.
04:04
So the username is our API key from our Citizen Space site.
04:08
So I'm going to copy that and then we're going to put that in there.
04:12
And then for the password we simply need to go and copy the secret from our Citizen Space site and then paste that into our password section.
04:21
we have got documentation for how to set up API keys on our Knowledge Base, which you can easily find if you're struggling to do that.
04:30
I'm going to press connect here.
04:31
As you can see it's trying to load and pull through the information for us.
04:34
from our Citizen Space site again.
04:35
What we're going to actually experience here though is it's going to present with a bunch of errors.
04:39
don't worry.
04:40
At this stage it's fine.
04:42
We're just going to simply press close.
04:43
We're going to go to file, we're going to go to Options and Settings Options, and then what we're going to do is we're going to go down to Current File Privacy and select Ignore Privacy levels and potentially improve performance.
04:57
And okay, then we're going to have to apply those changes and wait for it to load again.
05:02
We see it's trying to speak to our Citizen Space site again and pull through the relevant information it needs for the dashboard.
05:08
So now that's pulled through we can see that our Power BI dashboard is populated.
05:13
We have all the information from our Citizen Space site and as I mentioned earlier this is going to stay up to date as things change on Citizen Space site you can go around, you can play around with filters.
05:24
Now it is a slightly different process when it comes to the users template that we've got.
05:30
So I'm going to quickly walk you through that and show you how to do it when it comes to the users template.
05:34
So first going to load that up, and we should get a pop up box for this in just a second.
05:41
again we need to put our URL in from our Citizen Space site.
05:44
So I'll just go and get that, go to our site, copy that and then we want to paste it in this box again.
05:51
Remembering to put api/1/ api/1/ api/1/ at the end, that's very important.
05:57
It won't work without it.
05:59
Click load and then unlike the site overview template we're actually going to get a pop up box whilst it's trying to communicate with our Citizen Space site here.
06:07
So that pop up box is basically going to ask us if we want to ignore the privacy levels once it comes up as it just has, we need to select ignore privacy levels and save and then it should pull through all the relevant data from our Citizen Space site.
06:21
To create the Citizen Space Users Power BI dashboard you may need to just click Apply changes here.
06:30
And now you can see we've got the users template dashboard And that's it, really.
06:34
It's that simple to set up the Citizen Space Power BI dashboards.
06:38
You can now view these dashboards whenever you like.
06:40
As I've mentioned, they will continue to update alongside your Citizen Space site and you can even export them in PDF form and share them with your colleagues.
06:48
That way, if you prefer to do so.
06:50
We can also work with you to create custom Power BI dashboards at an extra cost.
06:55
If this is something that you'd be interested in, then please contact your Customer Success Manager for more details.
