Automate Video Editing with Descript 🎥

Hey, what is up?

In this video I'm going to be explaining exactly how you can start using descript to generate AI versions or AI automated versions, of your videos.

Which basically means that you have this software called descript editing your videos or you have it edit to your video.

So essentially what you saw in this product or hopefully in the VSL or the welcome video.

Yeah I believe the, the front end offer on the sales page.

Essentially what I did is, you know, it's pretty simple.

So I go here to this feature called AI Video Maker.

Now I have the paid version I believe.

so you have to grab that I guess.

But you go for AI Video Maker, you go to generate and then here you can upload a file.

You can generate from a prompt or paste in a script what I did, I uploaded a file and then I'll do that.

In this case I'm just going to drag this file and then you can choose between, you know, which kind of B roll you want to have, which type, which type of B roll media type.

You can choose between AI, generated media or stock media.

So in my personal opinion I feel that stock media works better.

They might get better with AI generated.

You can test it out but I personally use stock media usually.

So then I click on continue after I select stock media and then I just wait for this to finish its work.

And once that is done, essentially I just gonna go here and if I want to make some minor changes, you can see that here on the left it you know, gets rid of certain parts that it feels doesn't fit so well.

Okay, I'll be showing you that.

So we have two options here.

You can export the video as it is.

What I usually do, I just click on edit video to have a final look at it.

You can see that if I click here on play.

Okay, so this might not be the best example because I'm sharing my screen and you know it does, you know, a decent work but I think it works better when you just have yourself like you know, talking head and then you use descript.

And that's essentially what I did for the VSL for the faceless ATM machine launch.

And let's see what else.

Yeah, so you can see here, you can get rid of the captions and stuff but it usually creates that automatically.

And here you can see it gets rid of part of the text that it feels doesn't belong there for some reason.

But if you feel, okay, I want this in the video, then you can just go to this section here.

You're going to see this kind of restore arrow.

You can click on that and, it's done.

But essentially, you can see here how it works.

So it's actually pretty good.

I usually use this more for when I'm, you know, doing a talking head, but essentially, yeah, that's what I did.

That's basically it.

Now, I went through this video, so it should explain the basic stuff.

I'm not sure if I'm using Hey Jin right now, but essentially what you want to do is you just want to use the voice that you have, or you can upload a voice to.

To Haejin, right?

If we go to avatars.

Go to this.

Yeah, they have new stuff all, all the time, right?

But, go to this one here.

Let's see if we can.

Or maybe it's create a video because they've changed the layout.

So create an AI studio or quick avatar.

I think this is one of these.

So here, essentially what I do is I.

I select one of my voices you see here, audio.

So I am in hey Jin right now.

So if I want a more, you know, if you don't want to use the interface that I have here, essentially I just click on audio.

Click on, upload audio.

And then I choose the voice that I want to use.

It can be my own voice, or it can be one generated with 11 laps, which is the next best thing, in my opinion, to recording with your own voice.

And then, yes, you know, click on that, upload it, you add the audio, and it's going to appear here.

And then here you can just change the avatar.

You can replace this.

In this case, I'm going to replace this with my own avatar, and that's it.

And then I click, on generate, and it's going to start basically using the audio that you uploaded.

So that's the part that I didn't kind of, I think, mention in this video here.

So I'm mentioning this in the second video.

So I recommend you watch this video first, the second one, and then you're gonna be watching this video here, which hopefully is gonna make sense to you.

And that's essentially all you have to do.

Once you have this ready.

Yes.

Upload this to descript, and descript is going to do its job.

that's pretty much it.
