Resourcing Redesign (Early Access)

Hi thanks for your interest in the early access of the resourcing redesign.

so the first scope of the work that we are doing is on the projects resourcing page where when the early access is enabled you will see this kind of updated look in terms of the styles and the interactions.

first let's start with the legend.

So basically we have overhauled and simplified the color scheme where if a slot has no capacity then it's shaded blue.

If it is over capacity then red.

And then if the slot has completely free like in terms of there are hours and basically the user has a person has no planned work then it's free.

And if it's completely at capacity it's full.

And then in between status partially booked.

then in terms of various functions that you are used to in our resourcing you can move your dates as well as show unresource people.

Pretty much all these things are just a new interaction style et cetera.

Then in terms of the ability to perform actions like shift things of that nature.

what you will be able to do is on click which is a little bit of difference from the hover that you are currently doing.

You can then shift right shift right etc.

And then shift back left.

this is the starting point where we will now start offering more things on this surface for bulk shift, multi period shifts things of that nature.

But that's coming in a future release.

and then you can also do the familiar things that you do in a row level like swapping, penciling in all hours, confirming all hours, things of that nature.

so in terms of if you ever want to switch back to your experience the old experience you can always go back to the settings area beta features and then turn off and then you will get right back into the experience that you are currently using.
