Polyform-Lingo.dev hackathon

Hey guys, so this is Polyform, multilingual collaboration platform.

So the idea was basically simple: one workspace where anyone can collaborate in real time and view or engage with the content in their own language.

So let me just walk you through the landing page.

So this is very simple, clean, and glassy effect.

And so you can start building, and this is where you can create a new document, join another person's document on Polyform.

So you can open up a document which I've created for this demo.

So this is very Google Docs themed and you don't see a few tools because most of them are supported by AI.

And this is basically where you engage.

You can customize your name, change your language on which is localized through lingodot.dev.

And it will switch all the language including the document which you write in real time for you, and the other person can see it in their own native language.

but you don't want to always write documents as well, so you can simply ask Polly to do it.

Just say, write a 700-word essay on lingodotdev.

Polly works with— Polly is essentially just Gemini Brain wrapped around and given a few exquisite features where it can localize with Lingo.dev as well for language, language-based translation in real time.

And there we go, it's done the document perfectly.

And now let's do the real-time feature where you can work with multiple other people supported up to 10 people at the same time in their own native language.

So here we go.

So you just hit— take the share, hit the share button.

You get a live edit, view only, or a snapshot.

You can copy it, copy the live one, and go to send it to your friend or anybody.

It will offer the new person to write their own thing there and put it in their own language.

So let's say German, or actually let's say French, and enter space.

So you give it a few minutes for the entire website, including the document, to get localized.

And let's split the screen.

So this was the original document which we were working on the right side, and the left side is the document we shared to your friends or anybody.

Also, we built WebSocket integration for cursor movements in real time.

This was such a hassle because I had to contribute to 4 other open source projects to make WebSockets work with lingoda.dev, Gemini, and a new platform like mine.

So on the right side is in English, left side would be in French.

So you can actually go to the document and as you type and go.

Both of them get updated in real time.

That's basically the goal, and you can have multiple people, multiple languages working on the same document in their native language.
