00:01
I want to just talk through best practices for using tags within NOAN.
00:04
tags are incredibly powerful because they help you organize your contacts, your content and your notes.
00:11
They are also auto added by the assistant whenever it needs to.
00:16
So having the right structure for how you approach using tags is really important to get the best output.
00:22
Now, there's a couple of things to know about building tags.
00:25
First of all, you can, add them directly with the assistant.
00:29
So I'm going to add one.
00:30
Now for a seed stage investor.
00:34
Add a tag titled Seed Stage Investor, make it pink and use it whenever an, investor invests in seed stage companies.
00:45
So here you can see I'm creating this tag with the assistant and what I've done is I've given it clear directions.
00:50
So I'm going to title the tag, I'm going to call it Seed Stage Investor.
00:54
I've determined that I want it to make it pink, and then I'm going to say use it whenever an investor invests in seed stage companies.
01:02
And we're going to let the assistant now create this.
01:07
So here you see the tags being created.
01:09
There it is.
01:09
And there's a couple of important things to note.
01:12
First of all, it's done exactly what I needed.
01:14
It's made it pink, it's given it the right title.
01:17
If I want to change this or update the color, I can tell it to just make changes.
01:20
Now color, is useful because it stands out when you're looking across NOAN networks.
01:25
So I do find that it's a good best practice to have distinct colors for certain tags.
01:29
It really will help you.
01:31
the second thing is that you can see this description here.
01:34
Apply this tag to any contact who invests in seed stage companies.
01:37
Use for investors whose primary or significant focus is on stead stage funding rounds.
01:43
Now what that means is that when the assistant sees anything about an investor, and it is tagging them, it's going to leverage this tag for their contact.
01:54
This is really important.
01:55
The description is vital for the assistant to know when and how to use the tags.
02:00
This one is going to solely be used for contacts.
02:03
You might have tags that are used for contacts, for notes and for content, but it's more likely that you're going to have specific ones for content, specific ones for notes, specific ones for contacts.
02:14
What you'll find is that there's more of a crossover between notes and content because often notes is full of ideas, things like content marketing concepts, those are more likely to tie into, the assets you create in content, such as you might Tag something, a potential Facebook post that would show up then in notes that would also show up in content.
02:34
Whereas your contacts and network might be a little bit different.
02:38
So this is how easy it is to create a tag.
02:40
You can also create and manage tags manually in your settings.
02:48
And here you can see the ability to add a tag.
02:51
You can determine what to name it, add a description, select colors, determine when it's used.
02:57
So here for example, you can select which of the different tags categories you want it to be used in and then save it.
03:05
So I find that for best practices, tags are good for stages, phases or types.
03:11
So what I mean by that is somebody might be at a stage as they move through the funnel.
03:15
For example, for leads, you might have a new, a hot lead converted, etc.
03:20
Those will have specific tags that you can then change as somebody steps through that process.
03:26
You might have types, content might be tagged for Facebook, it might be tagged as a contract, for example, and you can set up your tags in a structured way so that you can leverage them like Now you can filter by tag type across network notes and create for your content.
03:46
And this enables you to, to find different things that you're looking for.
03:52
But it also enables you to create for example your own deal flow pipeline.
03:57
So here you can see I'm in network and I've tagged lead and I can see when these leads were added and I can see how many I've got.
04:05
I could have then have different tags for different stages of my sales pipeline and I could simply filter by those stages to see how many users I've got in each stage and then access those that I want to message or follow up with to try and get them to convert.
04:24
So tags enable you to sort and organize across content, contacts and notes.
04:32
You can have as many tags as you want, but it's worth considering that really there can be tag overkill.
04:39
You want the ones that are specific for your business and those that are going to be the most relevant to help you sort and search through the different aspects of your, your company when you're within the NOAN workspace.
04:53
I like to keep mine pretty clean.
04:55
I like them to be at key stages across sales or if somebody's a user, I'll have them tagged as a super user, a beta user.
05:03
and then similarly with content I have select tags depending on the types of content that we create.
05:09
So the assistant then can then auto tag those and I can connect them directly to Zapier to send them where I want them to go.
05:14
For example, if we create a contract ours is automatically tagged contract and then it's sent where we need it to go to be signed.
05:22
It is important to make sure that you've got a description alongside each tag, otherwise the assistant is not going to know the full context of when and how to use this tag and it's going to rely solely on the tag description.
05:33
So start adding tags and you're going to find it's going to streamline the way that you think about all of these different areas of your business within the GNOME workspace.
