In this example I'll go over using multiple SOFs on the same port call.
00:06
Here.
00:06
I've already validated one SOF and I want to add another.
00:10
Maybe it's an agent or the terminal or a different source of truth.
00:16
First I will click on the Upload sofs button to pull up my downloads and pick my new sof.
00:24
In this example I'm actually using the same file, but I've renamed it.
00:28
You cannot have two SOFs with the exact same name on one port call.
00:32
Now you can see it has begun parsing and you can hover over it to see an estimated time to completion.
00:41
Now that that is complete, I can see I now have this new dropdown and arrows in a star.
00:48
This star means that this current SOF that I'm on is the main.
00:52
To see all of the SOFs on this port call, I can click the dropdown or I can toggle back and forth and go to the next sof.
01:00
If you've made any changes to this SOF in your cards, it will not save if you haven't pressed the save up here and you go to a new one.
01:12
In this case I don't need to keep any of the changes so I'll actually discard them and it takes a second and the new preview is loaded.
01:19
As I mentioned, this is actually the same sof so they will match exactly until I tell it some differences.
01:26
I will change this first card to happen at 16:58 and I'm actually going to delete the time on this second card for now.
01:36
If I want to make this the primary, I can simply click on the star.
01:42
For any secondary SOFs, you will see a trash can item.
01:46
This is how you delete sofs from a port call.
01:49
You can also delete the entire port call and create a new port call to delete the sof.
01:53
but if you want to keep the port call, you simply upload the correct sof.
01:58
it as primary go back into the original sof.
02:02
I'm going to save my changes this time.
02:04
Now this is the secondary SOF and I can delete it, but in this example I want to keep both.
02:11
If I try and complete my validation at this stage, I'll get an error.
02:16
It'll say fix all validation errors before saving the file.
02:20
Now it actually does name the other file, but it can be difficult because if I go click on show errors, nothing comes up.
02:28
It doesn't show that I have any errors.
02:30
But to validate I need both files or all files to be validated.
02:36
So I'm going to go over to my new primary sof.
02:39
I'm going to toggle on show errors and the event where I deleted the date and time is now missing.
02:46
So I'm going to go ahead and add that back in.
02:49
But I'm actually going to change it a little bit so that I have an example to work with.
02:53
This happens on the 27th of July July 2025, and let's say it happens at 1930 instead of 1925.
03:05
Now that the errors disappeared, my card disappears.
03:08
But I can untoggle show errors to bring everything back.
03:11
Now let me try validating by clicking Done one more time.
03:14
Perfect.
03:15
Everything worked there.
03:16
Both are validated.
03:18
And now I can see on one screen all of the events that were validated.
03:23
And on most of them they look pretty similar.
03:26
But on a couple there's actually these diverging icons.
03:31
This means that the primary, which is what's used on a majority of my events, and the secondary, the test SOF shown here when I hover over it, are diverging.
03:42
They don't quite show the same thing anymore.
03:44
If I go back to the first two examples that I changed, the primary I set at 1618 and the secondary, which was the original SOF, was showing 1718.
03:56
So I could look at these, dig into it, maybe use this as a negotiation option when working my demurrage claim.
04:05
Same thing for the second event that I manipulated.
04:09
It originally showed 1925, but the new primary sof is showing 1930.
04:17
I can go investigate why there's a difference there.
04:20
You can also hover over this little search icon to get a quick view of the SOF document if you want to investigate and see if that time makes sense.
04:32
In this case it doesn't because I changed it arbitrarily from 1925 to 1930.
04:38
Now I can easily compare two sofs and one late time, calculator.
