In this video we'll go over late time calculations.
00:04
We'll focus on manual late time calculations and not the automated calculations.
00:11
Here in the port call screen you can see all of the events that have been parsed from the sof.
00:17
You can go back into the parser using this SOF parser button.
00:22
Or you can edit the port call here that pulls up the general port call information, including the port name, any specific allowed lead time for this port, and any cargo handling information.
00:36
So the operation type and any cargo lines required for this voyage.
00:43
Your counterparty here is critical for rebilling and also your quantity for prorations.
00:52
Within the late time calculator, I can see all of the events.
00:57
To add a late time addition, click the green plus next to the start event and scroll down and find the end of your edition.
01:05
Let's say discharge complete.
01:06
Click on that and create that will create a new line to tie the two.
01:11
Here a box will appear on the left side showing the total time of that late time addition and the start and end time.
01:23
If you hover over the times, it will show you the events names at the start and end.
01:29
You can also adjust the factor here.
01:31
If, for example it's only a 50% addition, you can type that in and press Enter to make the adjustment.
01:38
You can see the total amount of time used now has been cut in half.
01:43
You can add notes here for anything that you want to show on the comment section of the claim.
01:51
Or if you would like to make this an external note, you can include it on your demerge statement.
01:57
Let's say it's for contract clause A.
02:00
If you want to make an adjustment to this late time addition, you will have to delete the original and create a new one.
02:06
So we can click that trash can and change it from nor tender to let's say this discharge complete.
02:14
That's added 30 minutes to our time.
02:16
You can see now at the top of the screen a time used.
02:21
That's that same 99 hours.
02:23
You can hover over most times within the claims manager to get different options for the visualization.
02:31
If you want to see it as days and hours and minutes, or if you want to see it as all hours or all days, you can hover over to add a deduction, use the biases on the other side of the events.
02:45
If for example your maureen is deducted first line to all fast, you can click those two events and a red box will appear on the right side of the screen.
02:55
This will also show you the total time of the deduction, the time start and time end, and if you hover over it, it will show you the event at the start and the end.
03:04
You can add your notes, you can delete it, and you can change the factor.
03:08
You can also hide both of these to save some space on your screen if necessary.
03:13
Here my time used has changed.
03:16
I have deducted 15 minutes on the event lines.
03:21
You can use these icons to help with your calculations.
03:25
The first is an event view icon.
03:28
This allows you to see a co quick view of the SOF without going to the SOF parser and see where this came up on within the sof.
03:39
You can also edit the event here.
03:42
This will bring up, a module within the screen so that you can still scroll and see the other events.
03:49
here.
03:50
You can adjust the event name.
03:52
You can change the event date, add a comment, add a tag, or even switch from a an absolute date, to a relative date.
04:00
Here you can pick another event within the system and add an offset of a certain number of hours or minutes.
04:08
I will close without saving that one.
04:10
There's also a shortcut for adding offsets for common events like all Fast nor and Drop anchor.
04:20
Here you'll see a little copy icon if you click will allow you to create an NOR tender plus 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours in one click.
04:34
Now you can see it's come up here as other nor tendered plus six.
04:39
Here we see all of the times and these events are all going to be shown in chronological order.
04:45
You can also add new events without going back into the parser by clicking the this add event at the top of the screen.
04:53
Here you'll see a similar module where you can add a timestamp or a duration event.
04:58
Last thing to mention is that we are not calculating a demurrage yet.
05:02
You can see it at the bottom of the screen and that's because we don't have a rate in our claim yet.
05:08
So if I go back into the claim and I put a demurrage rate, let's say $10,000 a day.
05:14
Now you can see I've calculated a demurrage.
05:17
If I click back into the port call, I can see at the bottom of the screen I have my total demurrage for this port calculated and the claim.
