Inside The Propagarium: A Short Tour for Leaflet Readers 🌿

Hi, everybody.

It's Julie.

I recently mentioned the opportunity for readers of The Leaflet newsletter to get one of a few spots as a Rooting Member inside our new resource, The Propagarium.

This is a membership space for those who are proofreaders and editors and copywriters, really anybody who loves working with language and wants to improve their skills as well as their business.

And I just wanted to show you behind the scenes while you're considering applying for this.

Because sometimes when you hear about a new resource, you think, well, what is it?

What am I going to get?

And so I wanted to show you what it looks like inside.

We currently have some folks inside The Propagarium and we've been meeting together now for a little over three weeks and chatting and encouraging each other and having a great sense of community.

And I do have a few spots that I want to open up for the month of July for Leaflet readers.

So here's what The Propagarium looks like.

And of course there are lots of plants and plant analogies going on in here.

I won't go through the entire setup because it would take too long to do that.

But I want you to know that we have several benefits of being a part of this membership.

One of the big ones is our monthly training that we will be having.

We'll be inviting in guests to talk about certain topics that will help you for your skill set or for your business, for systems, for organization and specialists in different tools and things like that.

That's called The Podium.

That's over here in the left sidebar.

We also have The Trellis which is our community and this is where we chat with each other and we ask questions about business or even grammatical questions that we have.

We share good catch things that we have spotted to chuckle a little bit or just encourage each other in our skills.

We share resources that we've discovered, and we also have a monthly challenge.

We have one going on right now for the month of June that is Finish One Thing and it has really helped me.

I need accountability, outer accountability to get things done sometimes, and it's really helped me make some good progress on something big I'm working on right now.

So that's The Trellis.

We have a couple other areas too, The Entryway and the Rooting Members section.

Then The Guide.

I wanted to show you this.

The Guide is a digital sourcebook.

It's -- It's a growing digital notebook filled with all of information that I have gleaned over 10 years in this work myself as a proofreader.

And this is perhaps one of the most valuable parts of membership in The Propagarium.

And it's only going to be getting better.

Let me show you what it will look like.

It's actually in Notion.

So we link over to Notion, and here's The Guide with this huge table of contents.

Let me show you what is in this outline.

There's a lot of information that will be added as time goes on and I will be adding links to each of these points and then you'll be able to click over and read, things from my experience or things that, that I've learned over the years.

And so this is quite a big outline filled with all kinds of things.

And you know what the topic is about this outline.

It's getting and keeping clients.

And so I wanted you to know that that's one of the biggest parts of The Propagarium.

And many of the people that ask me about The Proofreader Greenhouse, they say, how can I get more clients?

Even if they're seasoned veterans, they still maybe want to increase their client load or especially if they're new and they want to grow.

So this is The Guide.

While you're waiting for that Guide to be developed and fleshed out even more, I have two very nice resources already available.

One is called Grow Your Client Garden.

And that's huge.

It's talking to almost 70 proofreaders and editors about their experience with growing their client garden.

So I encourage you to check that out.

And then The Tool Shed.

This is just a compilation of tools, websites, apps that I have found over the years that have helped me.

And that's going to be a growing resource as well as I find things to add to it.

So this is The Guide and a really valuable part of The Propagarium.

The Propagarium is -- it does require an application and it only takes a few minutes to apply.

So I encourage you to find the link in this email and go through that application.

And then once the spots have been chosen, once I've chosen the people for the July spots, I will contact you and then help you get over there to the payment area for the first month or the first quarter.
