and today I wanted to tell you about the design Shortcuts update.
00:05
So, it's an update that covers a lot of things.
00:08
So I wanted to take the time today to explain, what I've been doing in the background, what's new and, and what's going on.
00:15
Okay, so let's, let's get started.
00:17
So, first of all, we call it Design Shortcuts because, like, I think it greatly enhances the capabilities of design and it makes you a, visual marketer much faster.
00:30
Okay, so let's start with the first component of this update.
00:33
one of the first and the main one is, better designs and better fidelity when using image to image.
00:41
So image to image is when you take an image and you say, you know, turn this image into.
00:46
Into something.
00:46
Or you say, you know, take this bag and make it wear by, make a model wear it.
00:52
Okay, that's image to image.
00:54
And before image to image, the results were hit and miss.
00:59
It was like probably 50, 50, and now it's more, 80, 20.
01:03
Okay, so, for instance, I have this image here of a bag.
01:06
And, I asked the AI to create a grid of three by three of different angles of the image.
01:13
And you can see the fidelity is pretty great.
01:17
Okay, and now in the same example, I asked, the design AI to, make our, model, wear this bag in our hand.
01:27
In our hands.
01:28
And you can see the fidelity is pretty great.
01:31
Even the brand name is, visible right here.
01:35
this is something that wasn't, just possible before.
01:38
let me see if I have a couple examples to show you here.
01:42
maybe in my test brand here.
01:44
this is another example here where, if we see here in the ingredients, so I used the COVID of a book, okay.
01:52
Which I generated in design.
01:53
I'll show you how in a second.
01:55
And the model here, and I said, the woman hold the book in a natural pose in a lounge chair.
02:03
you can see the result.
02:04
It gets the woman, it gets the book, and it also gets all my brand identity stuff.
02:10
Okay, so that was, something that wasn't.
02:13
That was possible before, but it took a lot of trial and errors.
02:18
So like I said, it was maybe 50, 50.
02:20
And now it's, it's very consistent.
02:22
So this is a massive improvement in the model.
02:26
let me show you if I have some more examples somewhere.
02:29
somewhere.
02:30
somewhere.
02:30
All right, so, I'll come to that when we get to the other updates.
02:34
Okay.
02:35
I'LL show you some more examples.
02:36
I just want to make sure this video is not 50 minutes long.
02:40
okay, let's start to the the next, the next part of this update.
02:45
we have better prompt adherence.
02:47
Okay.
02:47
So that means that the results you're gonna get are going to be closer to what you ask.
02:55
Okay.
02:56
you know this is it's, it's very subtle but it makes a big difference.
02:59
So here again we have an example where we have this image which is a collage of this woman in different position and the book.
03:07
And we say, you know, using the provided image, make the woman read the book.
03:12
And that works pretty good.
03:14
another example here, this is an edit.
03:16
So we have this editing feature in design.
03:20
Let me go to another brand here.
03:22
So basically when you click here in the quick actions, you can click on edit image and you can request your changes.
03:30
Okay.
03:30
So that feature has been vastly improved as well.
03:34
So now it's more reactive and it works better.
03:38
So basically here you can see we asked to change the dog and this was done the next one is a big requested feature, is better text fidelity.
03:51
So before, you could have two or three words of text in a design.
03:56
And beyond that the text would be unreadable, would have mistake, it would be hard to use essentially without any post editing.
04:08
So now basically that has been increased by 20 times.
04:11
So we went from about supporting about two words of text to supporting over 60 words, of text.
04:19
Okay.
04:19
And these are some examples I created in designs.
04:22
this is one with four lines of text.
04:25
so around four to ten lines works pretty well.
04:29
I would say it's almost one shot.
04:32
It works.
04:34
both of these were one shot.
04:35
I didn't do multiple edits.
04:37
this is 10 lines of text here.
04:39
So you can see this is quite a bit of text.
04:42
And before this latest update this wasn't possible.
04:46
Like you could, you could not get to that much text without a lot of mistakes essentially.
04:52
And I even was able to push it to 20 lines of text.
04:56
Now I think that's the upper limit.
04:58
And you know, I wouldn't recommend you try that all the time.
05:03
And you can already see there is some slight, I noticed a slight typo here somewhere.
05:08
Yeah, you can see engine, engine detail.
05:11
It had the detail two times.
05:13
So it's, it works.
05:15
It would require some post editing in a in a graphic design, platform.
05:21
but 20 lines is the upper Limit.
05:24
Okay.
05:25
you can also refine this by asking the A.I.
05:27
you know, remove this text for me.
05:30
Make sure this text is spelled this way.
05:33
So that's doable.
05:34
Although it's a bit lengthy as well, you know, if you have a lot of errors.
05:39
So, but essentially now this update allows for like four to ten lines of text, very comfortably.
05:47
I've put some more example here.
05:49
Here I created this was created in design as well.
05:52
I didn't do any post editing here.
05:56
this is a small infographic, and basically it shows you how the text is handled.
06:02
Now the next update here is the recipes update.
06:05
So this is a big update because I was trying to figure out a way to make it easy, for you to discover new visuals to create with design.
06:16
And well we can have a read up about it here.
06:18
But essentially I came up with this interface.
06:24
Okay, so when you click here in recipes, you'll be taken to a list of recipes and this UI will obviously change and evolve.
06:33
And basically like if we go into let me see which example I use here.
06:38
yeah, if we go in book cover.
06:39
Okay, so I will go to.
06:42
I have a brand here or I have a bunch of book covers actually.
06:46
So let me go here so I'll show you.
06:50
So if we go in book cover.
06:52
Okay, so I'm going to scroll through here.
06:54
I have a design called book cover.
06:56
Okay, so basically here I have my ingredients.
07:01
So I can say I want my book cover to show my logo, I want it to have a particular cover, image or illustration.
07:10
And then I get to compose what kind of book cover do I want?
07:15
Okay, do I want a flat book cover, do I want a 3D paperback book cover, do I want a magazine cover and so on.
07:24
Then I get to choose the angle, Then I get to choose the surface.
07:29
So let's say I want a magazine cover at a 45 degree angle on a marble surface, with title, etc.
07:39
Okay, so when I click here then I'm taken to custom and I can say with title, design your way, subtitle something and offer name something.
07:51
Okay.
07:52
And if I don't want it on a marble surface and I want it on a dark desk, I can do that as well.
07:58
Okay, so it combines the guiding and custom, it combines the ingredients and the shot composition.
08:06
Okay, let me show you a couple more examples.
08:09
We have the website mock up here so you can upload a Screenshot of your website and say I wanted in, in an iPhone, in portrait mode, you can do a logo mockup.
08:20
Okay?
08:21
So you can say, you know, you upload a logo and you say I want this logo to be on a billboard or on a storefront window, on a coffee mug.
08:34
and then you get to choose the different options to do lightning and so on.
08:38
Okay, you can even do, if you're into E commerce, can do product in hand.
08:44
Okay, so you can say, I want my product to be held by female hands, by male hands.
08:51
I want a natural grip.
08:52
I want proud display.
08:54
So there's all these kinds of options which enable incredible creativity.
09:01
Okay, I have a product in scene here.
09:03
like I want my product to be shown on a table, and so on.
09:08
Okay, so I'll show you some of the examples I generated early on.
09:11
So these are the book, some book covers, generated with this new recipe feature.
09:16
Okay, this is logo mockup.
09:19
This is the logo mockup where I say place it on a car.
09:25
this is another book cover and so on.
09:28
Okay, so let me see if I have some more example.
09:31
this is using the product.
09:33
First I generated the book cover and then I use the product in scene.
09:39
the product in scene.
09:40
recipe here.
09:41
Okay, so I chose Book cover.
09:43
When you click here, it uploads your ingredients, panel, it shows your ingredients panel.
09:49
I can choose my book cover.
09:50
I can choose my bag for instance.
09:53
And I can say place my product, on the table as hero product in the modern home shot from high level.
10:01
Just create design and it will generate the design.
10:04
Okay, so the recipes really creates a whole new level of creation.
10:11
And yeah, I hope that you will enjoy it.
10:13
It really changed a lot of things for me.
10:16
Okay, so I cover that a bit here.
10:18
Let me see.
10:19
There is some example here.
10:20
This is a, mock up as well using a mouse mat.
10:24
this is the website which I mentioned before where I uploaded a screenshot of my website and I say put it inside MacBook Air.
10:34
this is product in scene.
10:36
Again, this is hand holding product recipe.
10:39
this is another recipe for product and model.
10:44
Okay, so that's essentially the And here I generated this image of the bag, using the recipe which we just, we just saw.
10:51
Okay, so it makes it, it makes it easy to compose very cool shots essentially.
10:58
so next we have the instant avatars.
11:00
So instant Avatars.
11:01
it's a recipe.
11:02
So when you go here to recipe, it's called professional models.
11:07
Right now, I think all models.
11:09
Yeah, professional models here.
11:11
So basically this allows you to create, avatars like people or characters you can reuse throughout your design.
11:19
Maybe you need an influencer, a virtual influencer to promote your brand, to hold your product.
11:27
you can do that here by choosing a reference image of the person you want.
11:32
So let's say I wanted to use, I wanted to use, someone I can.
11:37
I can use that image.
11:38
I'm Usually you want to have a couple of images using a collage.
11:42
I will show you that in a short while.
11:44
And then you say, create.
11:46
you basically set the parameters here, okay?
11:49
So what you want, what kind of person, and I'm going to show you, what it generates.
11:54
So it will create a collage of your avatar, this way, okay?
11:59
In a three by three grid.
12:01
So what this does is that it gives the AI a ton of, of different angles to reuse your avatars and to recreate it in in various ways.
12:11
Okay?
12:12
And so this is how I created this avatar that I was able to reuse here.
12:18
Here, for instance, I reused, here and here and so on.
12:23
Okay?
12:23
So this allows for the creation of essentially avatars very fast.
12:28
Okay?
12:28
And for all of these I've created some training.
12:32
So here you can see, watch the training.
12:34
So I added a ton of training.
12:37
discover.
12:38
Here are the professional models.
12:39
then we have the collage.
12:41
so collage, it's a rather complex and simple feature at the same time.
12:46
But basically it allows you to take several images of your ingredients and turn it into one like this.
12:53
Okay?
12:53
So it goes like, it goes like this.
12:58
So basically in the, in the model here, what you can do is you can say, I want to create an image with these four things, okay?
13:09
And then you say create collage.
13:12
I think you can add up to 15 ingredients.
13:15
Okay?
13:15
So you can say this, this and that.
13:17
You click create collage.
13:19
it's going to generate one single image with this.
13:22
So, this is, When generating AI design, this is a popular technique.
13:27
this is an advanced technique, which is very efficient because then I can say I want a model that wears these jeans, these shoes, this T shirt, this hat, these glasses, and this, this bag.
13:40
Okay?
13:41
so I'm going to show you an example here.
13:43
I think I generated a couple.
13:45
So you can See here, like I took this collage and I say using a provided image, create a visual of this woman wearing the shoes.
13:54
So you can see the shoes right here that we added as an ingredient in a collage.
13:59
blue jeans, T shirt, Ray Ban glasses and the back.
14:02
Okay?
14:03
And it comes up with this, right?
14:05
So it's pretty amazing what you can do with collage.
14:09
It opens a lot of creative options.
14:11
And obviously there is a training available here on how to use the collage feature.
14:17
okay, I think I close my design tab.
14:19
Let me reopen it.
14:21
All right, so now templates.
14:23
Okay, so like I told you, there is a lot in this update.
14:27
The next thing is templates.
14:29
let me see if I can find some example here of the page.
14:32
So templates is an extension of creatives of the recipes.
14:37
Sorry.
14:38
And basically, these are a couple examples here.
14:40
Okay, so basically the idea with templates, I will show you, the first category of recipes it applies to is Facebook ads.
14:48
So if you go here to the Facebook basically you can have a reference image.
14:53
So let's say there is an ad that you like, okay.
14:57
And you want to replicate this ad.
14:59
this is usually a great, great way to go about because, well, you know, if you enter a new market, for instance, you might not sure what is the visual language.
15:08
Like I was looking at the website Avon here, for myself, but I was looking at their visual marketing strategies and you can see with a lot of their product images they use, they use various strategies and you know, the way they, they put it together is very, is well thought out.
15:26
Okay.
15:27
so essentially if you wanted to create a product image like this, you know, rather than doing it from scratch, you can take inspiration from Avon here for instance.
15:37
So that's already part of recipes.
15:40
You can have a reference image.
15:42
But with the template feature now you have the Choose Template button.
15:46
And when you click here, it takes you to a curated collection of high performing Facebook ads because this is in the Facebook ads recipe that you can use as references.
16:02
And this opens so much options, so much possibilities, it's crazy.
16:08
this basically means that next time you need to create a Facebook ads which, where the creatives are pretty important, when it comes to Facebook ads, you can come here to this curated library and find inspiration to get you started essentially and to use as a model.
16:27
Okay, so this is a very amazing update.
16:30
Like look at this image here for instance, right?
16:32
You have this bear step, image with, the shoes here.
16:37
there is these bubbles that.
16:38
This is a great layout.
16:39
You can apply to almost any products.
16:42
You know, these bubbles, these headlines, and the product in the middle and the little arrows thingy.
16:48
so basically what you do, you'll choose the template.
16:51
You, optionally upload your product image.
16:54
Okay?
16:54
So if you want your product image to show in there, and then you say, what do you want?
16:59
Okay.
16:59
And I'll show you some example here.
17:01
this is an example where, I took one of the, template and I say, put my model and my jeans and my shoes.
17:10
So I use the collage feature.
17:12
I told you, inside this ad it came up with that, which is amazing, you know, And I could have asked it to customize the text, but I didn't in this case.
17:22
And then there is this other example here where, I said, you remember that I just showed you with the shoe.
17:30
It's the same ad, okay?
17:31
So I just say, put my Timberland shoe inside this ad and change the text.
17:37
Okay.
17:38
And it turned it like that, which is, pretty amazing.
17:42
this is another one where, you know, I found an ad for, some pants.
17:48
And I say, you know, put my pants here because I have an image of pants in my, ingredients collection, inside this ad, okay?
17:56
And it created it from scratch.
17:58
So the, the templates feature is, it's really a, game changer.
18:03
Okay.
18:04
And for now it applies, just to Facebook ads, but it will also apply to newsletter, anything you can imagine.
18:15
Right now I'm doing some, research for, Shopify listing images.
18:23
So like I told, like I, showed you before.
18:25
So, like, having this, being able to reproduce this kind of imagery.
18:30
And that's the.
18:31
That's essentially the templates feature.
18:33
So this is a very, very amazing feature in itself.
18:38
Okay.
18:39
But that's not all.
18:40
we also have variations and with variations, basically, now you can say, you can take one design and you can say, create several variations of that design.
18:52
Okay.
18:53
If I go back here in my account I'm going to scroll through some of the variations I created earlier on.
18:59
Right?
18:59
Okay.
19:00
So I had this design for.
19:01
I was trying to find a cover for the design shortcuts, and I just said, you know, create a variation by changing the background color.
19:10
And it created, four different versions here.
19:13
Okay.
19:14
you can, this is another example using variations on the same designs to create some slight differences in the.
19:22
In the background, color.
19:24
And here is another one, I think.
19:28
Yeah.
19:28
Where I did a test to generate, multiple different, like hair colors and skin color and ethnicity on the same image.
19:38
Okay.
19:39
So that was again not possible before.
19:42
And it's part of this update.
19:43
And again we have training for it, so you can watch your variations to trainings.
19:48
A smaller update, we have a new ingredients panel.
19:51
So it's this panel here.
19:53
So you can still open the ingredients model from here at the moment.
19:57
but the ingredients will move progressively to the right here in the panel.
20:02
And so this is just to give you quicker access to your ingredients for designs.
20:08
we have concurrent image generation.
20:10
So now you can generate multiple images at once.
20:13
So you don't need to wait for an image to finish to be able to generate a new one.
20:19
Okay.
20:20
And I don't think I put training for this already, but it's pretty simple.
20:24
You say like a picture of a dog in a park and then you say a picture of a cat in the park.
20:35
Okay.
20:36
And what will happen is that these get queued and whenever each image is ready, it's gonna show up on your screen here.
20:43
Okay.
20:44
multifi upload and URL import.
20:49
so basically in the ingredients model here you can upload multiple files at once.
20:56
So you don't have to upload one image at once.
20:58
You can upload a whole bunch at once.
21:00
And you can also import from an image URL.
21:04
Okay.
21:05
and you can see these images, for the cat and the dog, have been generated for me while I was.
21:13
So I can queue up like 10 images like this.
21:16
I can go away and when I come back, they'll be ready.
21:19
Okay.
21:20
And this is what I just did with two images.
21:22
But that's.
21:23
That's about it.
21:24
so multiple file upload and URL import and progressive image loading.
21:28
So this is just a performance stuff.
21:30
But basically now the images load much faster.
21:33
Essentially.
21:34
You can read up on the details here.
21:36
in the video studio we added a couple more things.
21:40
So basically when you go here to the studio, you now have in the generation.
21:46
So when you are on an image here, you have fast mode.
21:50
So the fast Generation takes about 10 seconds and it generates a video of three seconds.
21:56
But it's very fast for generation.
21:58
So it's good to to plan out to kind of wireframe to test out your video ideas before going to the standard generation, which is cling 2.1 or the premium which is VO3.
22:10
talking of VO3, we have VO3 support.
22:13
So like this is a video I'm doing for our login page using VO3.
22:20
obviously VO3 is very good.
22:21
this is another video here, of you know, a little character I did using VO3 and using design.
22:28
So right now design is, is, is really capable of doing great videos.
22:33
I use it myself to, to do, to do funny things and, and other things.
22:37
And also you have the new scene from frame.
22:40
So basically when you creating a video, I don't have one here.
22:45
Okay.
22:46
I have one here.
22:47
if I wanted to basically start the next, start the next video from a specific frame, I can click here new scene from frame and I can choose which frame to start from.
23:02
Okay.
23:03
And this allows for continuity in video clips.
23:07
Okay.
23:07
So you know, I would say this is like scene free.
23:11
And basically this will be the starting point of the third scene of my video.
23:17
again on the studio we have training.
23:20
I have not linked it here but it's in the academy on how to use the studio.
23:26
a whole bunch of new training have been added.
23:28
there is a new training on the recipes, which could be useful.
23:35
there is an updated help desk which is the help desk we are looking at right now.
23:41
Okay.
23:41
So it's this help desk.
23:43
So what happens is that every time there is a new feature it gets documented in the help desk.
23:48
