Welcome Back to day two of Tella's 12 Days of Tella, where we ship new features every single day until Christmas.

Today we are launching squircles.

Now, if you're watching this video, you'll see the nice squircle shapes around my camera.

And I'll show you how you can add squircles to your layouts So here I've got this kind of classic Tella side by side layout with these rounded corners.

But these rounded corners aren't squircles.

They're just rounded corners.

Squircles are, sort of like a square crossed with a circle.

And there's a bunch of annoying maths that goes into how you actually create a squircle.

It's not just a sort of corner radius.

It's a bunch of other stuff that I'm not going to bore you with.

To add a squircle, you just need to go to the border option in Tella.

And as you can see, we've got the classic sharp one, the rounded one, and now we've got this squircle one.

So if you click that, you can see you get this nice squircly shape around your camera.

Now, we don't add a heavy squircle shape to your screen recording because that can quite easily crop off a lot of stuff that probably should be visible, like icons and buttons.

But we do do a very subtle squircly rounded corner there.

So it does sort of feel the same, but it's not like a very heavy, squircle shape.

And so now when you have this enabled, you can go into your layouts and you can go crazy with all of our layouts.

And your camera will have this nice squircle effect.

And your screen will have a subtle squircle roundness as well.

So if we pick like this one and then pick, say, the, square shape, you can see you get this effect, here, let's bump that up so you can see it a bit better.

And if we do landscape, you get that.

If you do portrait, you you get that looks really nice.

Now, if you're also doing camera only layouts, you can use the squircle shape there, which is cool.

So basically your whole clip will have the squirtle shape.

So you get this nice consistent look, no matter how many different layouts and different combinations of layouts you use in your video.
