Hi, in this video, we're going to take a look at how Ludi works.
00:04
Ludi is an online whiteboard that helps software teams collaborate better.
00:07
Whatever kind of meetings or workshops your team runs, you'll find everything you need to run a great session in Ludi that your team will enjoy.
00:15
Here in front of us, we've got a team space in the dashboard, you can see four boards that the team have worked on previously.
00:22
We can see the action items that they've tracked from previous meetings.
00:27
You can see the members of the team.
00:30
So to get us moving, I'm going to create a board.
00:33
You can do so from one of the template categories in our template library, or you can just get started with a blank board, start from scratch and create your own activities or pull in our templates later on.
00:44
So I'll start with a retrospective.
00:47
I'm going to pick the sailboat template and the board is ready for me to use.
00:56
At this point, I can either edit and customize the board to change some of the wording or the prompts, or to add my own activities.
01:03
And when I'm ready, I will just share the board link with my team.
01:07
So copy the link, share that with your team.
01:10
When your team start joining the board, the next step is to start a meeting.
01:14
This does a couple of things.
01:16
It designates you as the meeting host, giving you access to meeting host management controls, and it changes the left toolbar.
01:25
So it changes these tools into collaboration tools.
01:28
And lastly, it turns on the private writing mode.
01:33
Private writing allows your team members to write their sticky notes and points in private, only sharing them when they're ready to.
01:40
This is great for brainstorming.
01:42
It's great for retrospectives.
01:44
It helps people write their own points and prevents bias.
01:47
So as your team arrive, join the board, they'll be adding their stickies to the different areas you can see in this template.
01:55
Each area is colored differently depending on the prompt, if it's good or bad, future looking or backward looking.
02:02
And when they're ready to share their sticky notes, they'll change the indicator down here to public, revealing what they've said to everybody.
02:10
At this point, you'll move through your meeting, having your discussions, making decisions, and you may move to, needing to track actions or outcomes.
02:21
So in here, just track your actions, designate them to someone and give them a due date.
02:30
as your meeting or workshop moves on, you'll find the tools in the left toolbar useful for parts of the process, such as grouping sticky notes into topics, joining stickies together, holding votes, reacting on stickies, drawing, and some other fun tools to discover in here.
02:47
When you're done with your session, you can export the board to a variety of formats, or you can send data, or actions to Jira with our integration.
02:56
Okay, so that's it for a very quick overview of Ludi.
02:59
In the next videos, we'll show you some of the board features in detail.
03:04
We'll go through what makes a good session and show you how to use some more of the meeting management tools.
03:11
So to leave your board and go back to the dashboard, just click the arrow in the top left.
03:15
This will return you to your team space.
03:17
You'll see the board you just worked on with the screenshot generating, and any action items that you created in the session will be listed up here.
03:26
Email notifications will be sent out to the owners when they've been assigned actions, if they're coming up and if they're overdue.
