This video will show you how to integrate your mailchimp over to subsets so you can create experiments and link them to the correct campaigns and flows.
00:07
So to begin with, just go to your integrations page.
00:10
You'll see your mailchimp integration.
00:12
Make sure that is set to active.
00:14
You can see that we're asking for three credentials.
00:16
API key, Server prefix and list id.
00:18
To get those, let's start by going to our mailchimp dashboard, clicking on Profile, top right corner and from there you can click on Profile Extras API keys and I'll just generate a temporary key for the sake of this video.
00:35
Demo copy to clipboard and let's save that value.
00:39
Now our server prefix very easily found.
00:42
All you have to do is look in your URL, which is US16.
00:47
In my case it might be US4 for you, US, 10, etc.
00:52
So write that in US16 Save.
00:56
And now your list ID.
00:58
Your list ID is simply your audience ID.
01:00
So let's go over to audience, click on more options, Audience settings and copy the id, set it in and save.
01:09
Once all that's saved, we'll go over to our audiences here and create our first experiment.
01:14
I'll just continue the setup.
01:17
As you can see, I have not filled anything out whatsoever as that is out of scope of this video.
01:22
Click on next and you'll see that you have this integration which you can select, which is mailchimp.
01:27
And we are asking for a mailchimp campaign title.
01:30
This is where it gets a little interesting.
01:32
In mailchimp, you can have two sort of campaigns.
01:35
You can have your automation flow and you can have your regular email.
01:39
So if I were to write the title of my regular email campaign, I'll write substance campaign campaign and you can see that it will find the ID and everything's good.
01:50
However, if you were to write welcome new contacts, let's add it again.
01:56
Welcome new contacts, you'll see that it has not been found.
02:01
And the reason why it's not been found is that mailchimp has a limitation where you can't simply just search for the flow name.
02:08
As there is no access to the flow data, you'd have to click into your flow.
02:14
Then you'll just scroll down and see all the campaign emails or simply emails that are within your flow.
02:21
So you have to search for these individually.
02:23
So let's remove our subs campaign and let's write welcome email.
02:29
Welcome email.
02:31
Let's add another campaign and let's call it email contacts from your automation flow.
02:37
Email contacts from your automation flow.
02:42
I can see both of them have been successfully found, so all is good.
02:46
And now you're connected to your welcome new contacts flow.
02:52
So I'll click on next I will write some arbitrary number, doesn't really matter and just click finish.
03:02
Now you'll see that your mailchimp has been successfully connected to these two campaign emails.
