I'm going to ask you guys some questions throughout this.

So I'm just gonna not mess with anything before I completely bomb this presentation.

But yeah.

So, we have a few different slides to go through.

It'll be half and half.

So I'm going to give you more conceptual stuff, some background on me and what you're going to learn today.

First half, second half, we will be deep into many chat and again you will follow along with me building out this automation which you've probably never done before or you may have tried.

And you're like, what the is this?

Like what, what am I connecting rectangles and squares to?

I have no idea what I'm doing.

But yeah, let's dive right in.

So the purpose of this is going to let me just minimize chat so I can focus because I will read chat while I go through the presentation.

But the purpose of this call is to show you how to add at least $100,000 in revenue to your business this year within the next 12 months.

Not for the rest of the quarter, for the next 12 months using ManyChat.

So ManyChat and then low ticket products.

So even if you have a 29 product, a 99 product, a three thousand dollar product, six thousand, ten thousand, this will work and you'll see how.

But the purpose of this is to hopefully get you to a point where you can and will add at least six figures in incremental revenue to your business the next 12 months.

So since you're here, I do want to read, in the chat, a little shopping doors.

No, I want you to pay attention because we're also going to dive deep into many chat and you have to look after.

So let's talk a little bit about why we are here.

So you've got five different.

Take the gate off.

It's peaking.

You know what?

Maybe no, it's worse.

You're connected to my microphone.

I'm not going to pay attention to chat.

It's, it's fine for like half of you and half.

It's probably an Internet thing through Demio.

So five reasons you're here.

There's a lot of misconceptions about many chat, right?

There's a lot of misconceptions about like, should I use this?

Should I be using this?

When's the best time to start using many chat?

Do I need an audience to start using this?

Do I need to have a hundred thousand followers to start using this?

And the answer is no.

I'll talk about this in a few different slides.

But when I left my job, when I quit my job 18 months ago, actually more than that now, 22 months ago, I've almost been unemployed technically for two years.

I had less than 15,000 followers on Instagram and I was making more money from Instagram, from my full time job because of what I'm about to show you.

That sounds very like Guru E but like it's true.

So the misconception is like, do I need to have an audience?

Do I need products?

Do I actually need to sell something right now in order for this to work, for me to grow my email list?

Again, the answer is no.

Will using manychat hurt my reputation?

Will it hurt like, will I come across as too salesy to my audience?

I use manychat in nearly every single post that I put up, I can count on one hand the number of people who have explicitly told me to off.

There's a lot of people probably thinking like, he uses it a lot, but it almost never pops up.

And I have 150,000 on Instagram.

So the purpose of this and the reason why I want you to get that into your head is because if you use it correctly and you use it the way that I'm about to show you, number one, it has no effect on the reputation and the trust that you have with your audience.

And number two, I, I would argue it actually enhances the trust because of the data that we're gathering from the audience that ties into technical skills.

I talk about ChatGPT, API access, building out these automation from scratch.

Do you need to be technical in order to understand this?

And I would say no.

If you brought me your grandmother and you put me in a room with her for two hours, I would show her exactly how to do this and she could be good enough to work on my team.

Money, do you need to invest a lot of money into a website?

Marketing ads, building products?

No.

I have spent a lot of money building out landing pages and websites.

And honestly, if I just send people to a link for a checkout in manychat, it works.

More often than not, the conversion rate's actually higher because we're positioning it as it relates it being the product that we sell, we're positioning it to the person who is looking to buy something and get help with a specific task.

We'll talk more about that.

So quick background on me.

Listen, I spend a lot of money on web design and hiring people to do copywriting for me.

Like those jobs still exist.

I'm saying if you're, if you're just starting out and you have $5,000 to invest in something, I, I honestly think you should just invest in your skills to learn everything and then hire those right people, to do those jobs in the future.

So a little bit about me.

So 2020, as I'm sure everybody here has kind of messed around with a side hustle for me that started as a, marketing agency, taking pictures for restaurants, bars and breweries in New Jersey, all over New Jersey in 2020, summer of 2020.

And the reason I did that was because I interviewed at a company that my cousin worked at, Total Nepo baby on my side right here.

And he's like, listen, I want to get you a job at my company.

I would love to have you on the team, but ultimately you have no marketing experience.

So I, I assumed that that meant spent the last 300 I have to my name on a camera.

This is actually the upgraded camera that we got.

I started with a Nikon D5300 and I upgraded to a Sony A7 III.

But I went out and I basically just took pictures for everybody who owned a business in New Jersey who said yes to me.

And then I, within three months I had my own little marketing agency where clients were paying me.

And within six months I had a job at that real estate company.

I learned everything.

When I tell you I spent 16 hours a day for three years straight learning everything I could about marketing and social media.

That's not a joke.

When I was working at that company full time, I still ran the agency on the side.

And that's when I started making content because I wanted to get clients from my business for my side hustle.

I started with YouTube, I fucking hated YouTube.

And then I tried Instagram and I was like, okay, short form is a lot better and a lot more tailored to how I operate than long form stuff.

And eventually I got to the point where I was signing new clients for the agency through the short form stuff.

But I hated running an agency.

So I started making content for myself and my job.

I was like the, the sought after, like client success manager person because of the videos that I made through my company.

And then I started growing a little bit of a, following on social media because of those videos.

And then in 2023, this is about six months before I quit my job, a friend of mine showed me manychat and he just sent me this automation he broke down for, I think like personal training coaches.

And it sounds crazy like my life was, has never been the same since.

And this is the difference a few months can make.

Few years in some cases.

But since 2023, I quit my job January 2024.

January 6th, 2024.

But less than 15,000 followers and less than $10,000 to my name.

That was all severance, no money.

I was spending all of my money trying to figure out how to grow business.

I made $7,000 my first month as a full time creator using ManyChat, setting up ManyChat for real estate clients.

I made 100k in my first year selling digital products and cohorts and courses.

I will make triple that this year.

And now I set up many chat strategies.

Remember I mentioned I don't like the agency side of it.

I now run an agency, somewhat, it's, I try not to make that the core of the business.

But I do set up many chat strategies for clients like these people.

Adrian, Nana, Colin, Samir, Justin Moore, Mark Brazil, J.T.

barnett.

I mean if you follow any of these people and you've gone through any of their many chat automations, chances are I have had my hands on it some point, if not the entire process.

So yeah, from these strategies I'm trying not to pay attention.

It's, it's definitely the Internet connection, but I digress.

these strategies that I'm going to show you on this call, number one, have generated over a million dollars in revenue from just low, low cost products.

$2999 thing.

And that's pretty much it.

Over 100,000 followers have been grown from these automations.

So there's actually a way we won't talk about this today, but we'll probably have a different call for it at some point.

You can verify if somebody follows you on Instagram before you add them and share a resource with them, no matter what it is and that typically will help you gain followers.

In fact we've done that for over 100,000 automation where we gain that many followers from it.

I've also run automations like we have a set of automation that we use for every different industry, every client.

We've run automation including my personal account over 2 million times.

So we have a lot of data to work with and all the data that we have gathered from making things better and more products is everything that I'm about to share with you today.

So what are we going to cover?

You should be able to at least have a good starting point and know what you're working towards and know the interface pretty well.

So the reason I asked this question is because if you have all of these different products, you have a menu.

You don't have a huge menu, but you have a menu.

And even if you only have one or two of these things, you still have a menu.

You have something that people can pick from as soon as they learn more about your business and what to do.

Now this is important because if you have all of these things, if you have one of these things, you have to Help people make a decision.

So what I want you to do is picture yourself.

This is a mid journey picture.

I'm from New Jersey and I said, give me a young man sitting at a New Jersey based themed diner looking at a menu and stressed the fuck out.

This is how your audience feels when they see you post something.

They're interested in what you do.

I don't care if you have 10,000 followers, 100,000 followers, 4 plug and cheese on the side, for sure you have a thousand followers.

Doesn't matter.

When people visit your page and they see a video that you create and they find it useful, they at that very moment want to go deeper with you and you need to show them the best way to go deeper.

So picture this, at a restaurant.

This is a really good analogy.

You show up at the new restaurant, you're starving, the host comes over, waiter comes over, gives you the menu, 14 pages.

You have no idea what you want and you just become more stressed out.

If the restaurant were a website, you would leave.

You would just leave because you can't find what you want.

You don't know what you want.

So when we're in a situation like that, especially when we have been greeted by somebody who we perceive to have a higher status or more knowledge than we do, AKA the waiter, we do what is called in like a lit, not the very technical term, I guess this is technical.

We reduce our cognitive load, AKA we do whatever we can to not think too much.

This is psychology.

So we think what route?

You don't think of this consciously, but your brain is operating this way.

What route will take me to the easiest decision?

How can I, after looking at all of these different options, pick the one that will make the, most sense for me in this situation.

You have the waiter.

The easiest route is to ask the waiter what.

So you say there's so many options.

What do you suggest?

The waiter says, well, what do you like?

Do you like seafood?

Do you like burgers?

Do you like something sweet?

Whatever you want.

Savory matter, French onion soup.

You said I could go for a burger.

Which one do you recommend?

Waiter says, Jersey Burger.

So sold.

Done.

this is super important because I want you to notice how the waiter doesn't immediately tell you to buy something the waiter is not just like, you know, it could say, we have a list of specials.

We're trying to get rid of this shit.

Buy this.

No.

A good waiter and anybody who is in a position of power in this situation is first going to ask you what do you like, AKA what do you need help with?

What would you enjoy if I presented it to you?

Because the person sitting at the table has no idea.

it's probably, it's, it's definitely, yeah, it's definitely Internet cool.

I'm not even gonna look at chat anymore until I get to the point of looking at it from my chat side.

So we're asking the waiter and the waiter's always going to ask us a question back.

And this is super important because when you're thinking about somebody first coming, becoming a lead in your automation, typically what people do is they'll just push them to whatever the first product is in this set first $29 products.

But the problem with that is that if you've ever been on a sales call, any good sales rep knows that this is super important.

You cannot pitch anything without first understanding what the person has a problem with.

In the case of the waiter, it is what this person would enjoy.

They just don't really know what specific things they would enjoy.

So you have to become the waiter.

You have to understand that you are in the position of power.

For any new person who says I'm interested in what you do, they're not going to figure it out on their own.

They're not going to just take it into their own hands to go out and buy your $29 $99, $300, $3,000 thing.

If we're talking about the $29 thing, you have to first ask them a question and then position that $20 thing as something that can help them with their unique situation.

And we do that through free segments and upsell free thing, ask a question, upsell them into the first paid plan, whatever the product is.

So no matter what you sell, if you just sell something that's $10,000, considering having this as, a $29 thing, as something to get people involved with you, you can do a workshop, okay, talk more about like lead magnets and different products.

But for me, the absolute best way to get people invested in a higher ticket offer because it's more hands on with you and your team is to show them in a live session.

Kind of like what we're doing right now.

Except I'm not going to pitch you on a $10,000 product.

I don't have one.

But you have to give yourself the ability for people to spend time with you.

And you do that through a lower, low friction thing.

And then you move them to the point where you've built enough trust so they then buy the more expensive thing.

And I would actually argue that the upsell side should just be called suggest.

Because you told me this and I asked you this question.

I suggest you check this thing out now.

Daryl, I promise you I'm not, I'm not going to pitch you a $10,000 product.

so it's really interesting because when you ask this question, you're not, you're not positioning five different products five different ways.

If this person says they have this problem, the other person says they have this problem, you can actually pitch the same product to them in a different way.

So an example of this is like what I'm doing with ManyChat right now is I, I asked this question.

When somebody downloads my free template, I ask them, what specific problem are you looking to solve?

solve with manychat.

Are you looking to grow your newsletter?

Are you looking to sell more products?

Are you looking to just understand what's possible with ManyChat?

The same template that I have, the same template pack that I sell can be positioned five different ways depending on those answers.

And the more you ask this question over and over again, the more you'll realize that responses can always, fall into five different buckets.

And that's what we're going to create here.

So, so with the ManyChat automation that we create, we're going to give away the free thing.

We're going to ask a question open ended to people, not even multiple choice.

We want to keep this very human and make it seem like that person is talking to a human being.

We analyze their response with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is not having the conversation for you.

You've already pre built out this conversation.

You're asking the question.

The AI analyzes their answer and then groups them into one of those five buckets markets and then you position the low ticket offer in one of those five different ways.

So I'm going to show you how to do that free.

If you, if you, even if you don't have a free thing, I promise you, if you, if you put your head down for the next 48 hours, you can have a really good lead magnet that solves a very specific problem for somebody who is looking to learn more about what you do.

So the easiest way to build trust with somebody, because again, we, in order for somebody to get to spend money with us, they have to first trust that, we are the right person to solve the problem.

And they're never, in almost all cases, just going to throw a hundred dollars at you to solve a problem if they don't know what working with you is like.

And, we usually do that through a free thing.

Right?

So the easiest way to build trust right off the bat is to solve a very, very, very, very specific problem.

And if you think about this, where we have this end goal that we're working people towards, right?

We want to first, you know, we want to eventually get people to the point where they're making 100 grand a year from Manychat and Instagram.

What's the very first step that they have to do?

They have to understand how the platform works.

Cool, huh?

Here's a free template, very simple.

You literally click the import button and you follow along with the video that I made.

Great.

Lead back.

And then what's gonna happen?

Two things.

That person goes out and they do it on their own.

Fantastic.

Because they're gonna get to the point where they then refer you to other people, or they're gonna come to you and say, I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing.

Can you please do this for me?

Right, so we want to make this very specific.

And what we're going to do is collect name and email in exchange for the solution, the lead magnet to this problem, and then begin the nurture process.

Right?

So when I think about this, I'm going to go straight to this slide right here.

When we think about this, this is very important.

When we think about the customer journey, how do we get somebody who just thought Instagram video to then buy a 29 thing?

Or how do we get somebody who just followed us on Instagram to buy a $3,000 thing?

The way that you build trust right now on Instagram, instead of spamming your audience with, I have this $3,000 product and you should definitely buy it.

All of your promotion should be on the free side.

Anything that you promote should be free.

Because if your audience follows you and they see your Instagram story, buy this.

Buy this for $300.

Buy this for 5,000.

Buy this.

You're just going to bombard people number one, because they see the same offer over and over again.

Even the people who have already followed you and have bought that thing will see that, that ad that you.

It's technically an ad that you post on Instagram.

It's just not a good experience for your audience.

So what we're building when we talk about free thing, free thing, inviting that person to our email list.

You're creating this private world for this person.

And because you have all the data through, we'll go through next this segmenting question.

You're now able to kind of create this algorithm for them.

Right?

You're not pitching the same thing to every single person who comes through because we've asked a question to this person about what they want to achieve.

We can send the same newsletter we have, but at the bottom we can put PS because you mentioned this to me on Instagram, I think this would be the next best thing for you by.

So we'll get to that suggestion again.

I'm going to talk about this very quickly before we dive into many chat.

The free side is the lead magnet.

The segmentation is the question we ask that person as soon as they become a lead.

And then the only thing we're going to promote through Instagram is the low, low ticket.

And if you follow just 1, 2, 3 and allow the nurture process and this is where I recommend hiring people if you can, or just learning more about email marketing.

It's very, very rare that somebody's just going to buy a $3,000 thing off you if they just followed you on Instagram.

Unless they desperately have a problem and they are going bankrupt and they're like shit, I need somebody to solve this problem.

Right now the only thing that we're promoting is this 29 thing.

And that's important because the best person to then buy the $299 thing or even eventually the three thousand dollar thing is somebody who has already paid us with their time and their money.

So free.

We're only promoting the free thing on Instagram.

We're asking a question, we're selling them into this after we position it as the next best thing for them to buy based off of what they told us.

And then we upsell them eventually through a newsletter or different offers and launches that we have into one of these two categories.

Very simple.

So even if you have this right here, you can eventually make this and I can make a very strong argument that this, you could make a very good living off of this.

So if you go into like automation here or anywhere in the, in the basics, you're gonna see all these different templates.

Right.

You can go to automation, you can go to home, and you can look at all of these different, what they are templates.

Right.

So this is probably where people get hung up first.

And the way that I like to explain this is it's kind of like canva, right?

Imagine you paid a graphic designer to build you or create you a YouTube thumbnail, and you had a $500 budget.

But you said to that designer, you can only use this Canva template.

And the Canva template is a piece of garbage.

You're only going to get a result as good as the Canva template allows you to do.

And I'm, I'm not bashing Canva.

I'm saying if you're going to have a high budget, the graphic designer is going to build it from scratch.

So I want us to wrap our head around that.

And although it's intimidating, when you first go into your automation and you see absolutely nothing and then you see an automation like the one we're about to build, it's going to kind of scare you a little bit.

So let me see if I can move that over.

You might have seen myself in the bottom right, but you should be fine.

So I want you to go into the automation tab on the top right click on new automation.

This might not pop up automatically, but if you see an option from, for start from scratch, I want you to click that and then that should bring up, that should bring up a chat box that will looks like this.

And I got a thumbs up for anybody in the chat that says, I can see exactly what you see.

What is happening?

It's very, very simple.

So what I want you to do the case, the case study that we're going to use for this right now.

So we're going to click on new trigger.

The first thing we're going to do is click on user comments on your post or reel.

We're going to keep this very basic.

So you have a few options that pop up.

You can use a specific post, you can use your next post or you can use all of the posts for this one.

Let's just say the next one that we put up, we're going to promote this lead magnet.

We're going to promote this template.

Hit continue.

Now, anybody who comments the word template you can click right here.

Comment includes these keywords template.

For any variation of the word template, it's going to fire.

If you've been in manychat, you've probably seen that a few times.

You've probably set this up for yourself.

But anybody who comments the word template will be fired through this automation.

Now, you can also exclude keywords and I would recommend excluding specific letters, most popularly vowels, from what would fire here.

So if somebody says, I love your template, we don't want that person to go out.

So what we're going to do is exclude the keyword.

Technically, I and O, that's perfectly fine.

We can do A, E, I, O, U.

We can do U as well.

Right.

There's no U in template and that should be fine.

So we'll save this.

So anybody now who comments the word template will be fired into this automation.

Now, random replies.

I would always keep these on.

These are going to respond to anybody's comment from that post underneath their comment as a reply, telling them to check their dms.

You can turn this into whatever you want.

I'm just going to leave this as a default for right now and then we'll hit save.

All good.

So our first step now, it's going to get tricky.

All right, the first step is a private reply.

So what we're going to do is say, hey, saw your comments about my template.

Click below to get it and then we can put the down and right there.

So you've got this message.

Now we need somebody to click a button.

I will try my best to explain why this is the case.

So when somebody goes through a ManyChat automation, because you are messaging them, Meta has very strict rules around automated messaging.

So the only way that you can get somebody to go through an automated conversation in this way is to have them message you first.

So we can't just start bombarding this person with messages and asking what their email is and asking what their phone number is.

We have to get them to message us first.

First after this initial message.

Now, they do that through buttons.

So when somebody clicks a button, it sends a message back to your account.

Here's how it works.

So we can click or type get template and then we'll hit done.

So as soon as somebody clicks get template in this button, you'll see a message that comes back to you that says get template, and then that's where the rest of the automation can come into play.

If you do not have this step set up right now, don't worry again, you'll have the recording.

Now, step number two, we want to collect a, very good question in the chat.

I want to address that actually right now.

So quick replies.

Quick replies have been buggy with many chat for the past 16 days.

Since October 3rd, it's been a known issue.

They're talking with Meta and if you're running manychat right now and you just haven't seen anybody go through your automation, it's because of an API issue with Meta.

Quick replies also expire after 24 hours.

So if somebody clicks on your comments on your post, then they get the DM from you.

But they've closed Instagram.

They don't come back until two days later.

They're not going to be able to go through the automation where the is the button that you're dealing with like so use button.

Now once this person clicks this button, you want to collect their email.

So you're going to be like, why is he using this step and not the collect email step?

The first step after we collect this person's or after they click this button is actually a condition step.

The condition step is going to be email has any value.

Now why would that be the case?

Anybody in the comment section while I drink some water real quick.

Why would I say when this person clicks this button?

I want to verify if we already have their email address.

Martha, I wish I had like a soundboard that have like confetti duplications.

Yeah, perfect.

Also yeah, if they type it wrong, doesn't duplicate.

So the big reason why we do this is because if, if we have multiple automations running at any given time and this person has already provided us their email address, we don't want to ask for their email address again.

Right?

So the email has any value, right?

So what we want to do now is if this person and listen anybody can DM you their email address at any given time.

This is not what that is.

When we collect this person's email through a data collection step, I'm going to show you what that is right now.

If the contact does not have an email address on their ManyChat account within our profile, we're going to go to the Instagram step and we're going to delete this box and we're going to use the data collection box and we're going to change contacts reply text to contact reply is email.

And then we can change this right here, this text.

We can say, great, what's your email address?

Also very, very, very, very important.

I keep saying everything is very important because it is.

If the contact has not responded, this is where ManyChat gets it wrong.

Data collection expires in 30 minutes.

We're going to change this to hours because if this person gets our DM, they click the button and for 31 minutes they are not on Instagram, but they come back to our conversation.

If they type in their email address as a response to this question.

Because our window was 30 minutes, it will not allow us to hold that information in Their accounts.

We have to change this window, basically where ManyChat is listening to that person's response from minutes to hours.

That's it.

It's not going to map this person's response to the customer field.

So that's where you have to use the data collection.

So you can collect emails, phone numbers, names, first name, free text, whatever it is, you can do it there.

And then you can say something here like I'll send it over to you, over to your email.

Bring up chat again.

So very important I say it again.

We have to get this person's email address to our email list.

And you do that in two ways.

If you do not have a platform that you use for your emails, like Beehive does not have a native integration with ManyChat.

Klaviyo does.

Flodesk does, Kit does.

Mailchimp does.

I need to talk to the people at Beehive to get them rock and roll with this.

Yes, you can get rid of Zapier with this and just, and just use Kid.

So what you have to do is connect your email platform.

and I can send you guys a different tutorial for this.

But it's very easy.

I don't want to spend too much time on it.

But you just need to go into the Settings section and integration section of your ManyChat account and then connect whatever email platform you're using.

If there's an integration with it, you will see it in that dashboard.

So I have been using Kit, but I also have a Beehive connection here that's been a custom plugin that I found.

so I can't share that with you.

I don't know how I can share it.

But for Kit specifically, it's native.

It's already built in here.

So what I'm going to do is actually add this person to a sequence and then in the Kit account I would have an email delivery with the first email in that sequence being the delivery of this lead magnet.

And then you would have that as a sequence built in kit.

And then you can just choose whatever sequence you've got there and then you can map whatever other fields we have.

We don't have any other fields here.

You don't have to worry about this.

We're just gonna hit save.

It's going to be very similar if you're using mailchimp, Clavio, Flow Desk, whatever it is, you're adding this person to the email pop and you're sending them that delivery email with lead magnet.

Now what if you're not using those?

What if you're using something like Mailerlite?

It's very close to Miller Light.

I don't know how they get away with that.

We're actually going to delete this.

We're going to still use an action step, but for this we're going to use add tag.

So we're going to add a tag.

We're going to, we're just going to do webinar tests as a tag.

If you don't have any tags, which you probably won't, just click on + tag and then add the, the name of it and then hit create and then it'll update that way.

And then, Jess and I will send this out to you guys after I posted a video maybe about a week ago about how to connect Zapier from ManyChat, to different platforms.

Platforms.

This is the, the zap setup.

So when they give us the email address, they are tagged.

When the new user is tagged in manychat, we add them to a sequence in our email platform.

Right.

And that's, that's, that's it.

It's a, it's a two step zap.

That's really all you have to do.

So I don't want us to get hung up on that.

But this is what's going to add this person to the email list.

Because if we just collect their email and we say, hey, I'm going to deliver these to your email address and then we don't add them to the email platform, then they're not getting the email with the restores that we mentioned in this case a free template.

So it's not a good experience.

So this action step is what allows people to be then imported automatically into your email provider.

This is five years of two and a half years of many chat knowledge, two and a half years of mini chat knowledge, almost three.

And it's going to take some time right.

But I want you to understand like we're going to build this out step by step and I don't care like how long it takes you to understand it.

If you're able to get this process in place and just you're able to explain what is happening on this on the screen, it's a really good starting point.

So let's move on to confirmation message from this person.

So we have three different dots right here.

We have the action and reply which is what we tagged this person or added them to get with.

If this person has not responded what we can do is actually duplicate this, move it below here and then instead of saying great we can say hey, didn't want this to get lost, what's your best email email address and then we can delete that.

So if this person has seen the message but not actually responded this is when this message will go out and this is going to, you know in most cases I'd say 99.5% of people who go through the automation will answer this right away.

In some cases they might open it and not see it and then get this bump message and then they might respond to that and then we can push them back through as well.

So same thing we did here, you can just duplicate this action non reply and then we can move them to the confirmation message.

Confirmation message is very simple.

We're going to say great, great, just sent this to your email.

You should have it in a few minutes.

Done.

We can add a delay here if you want to make it seem very human.

I typically start my messages with a three second delay.

All you have to do to do that, do to do that is delay and then it will drop a delayed box underneath your message and then you can just drag it up.

We can do the same here.

If this person responds with their email we can push them to the confirmation message.

Now we have this open ended and I'm going to pause in a second.

Don't worry, we have this open green bubble right here.

If we already have this person's email address we're going to push them to the action step.

So the action is add this person to the sequence with the email that we deliver for them to get the lead magnet.

And then we can move them directly to the confirmation message.

We're going to dive deeper into this in a second.

But in our integration section, very similar to how we connected Kit, whatever it is, Klaviyo to ManyChat, we can also connect Chat GPT.

Yes, we can connect Chat GPT to ManyChat, to not only have a conversation with people, but analyze the influences.

So what we're going to do here is we're going to add a delay.

So next step, we'll use smart delay.

And I'm going to keep this very short.

I'm going to maybe make it one minute or so, two minutes.

So once we send this person the confirmation message, we are going to then send them Instagram message.

Here's where it gets freaky, okay?

We're gonna click on more and then we're gonna click on audio.

So this is totally optional, but if you want to blow people away, this is how you do it.

I mentioned that I ask people a question, right?

I say, what are you hoping to achieve in the next 12 months?

What big problem are you trying to solve, with manychat in the next year?

Here.

And you can type that out, Eric.

You can type that out.

Or what I do is you can record a voice note on your phone.

You can go to the voice, voice, notes section.

You can talk into your microphone.

If you're like me you might have shitty audio, but, you can record this on your phone.

You can even record a video on your phone.

And then what you can do is, is upload that video or voice note to something like Premiere or DaVinci or whatever it is, whatever you want to use to convert this MP4 file into a waveform audio file, that one over your head.

It's really not that crazy.

You're converting a video into an audio file.

That's it.

There are free websites that can do that for you.

So you're asking the question in this audio file and that can be like 30 seconds long.

And then you're also going to type out the question in this right here.

So we can upload any audio file I'm just going to pick one from that's longer than megabytes, but that's fine.

So it'll upload the audio file and then I'm going to add a delay and then we'll do, we'll do like 45 second delay and then we're also going to do again, data collection.

This is super important.

We're not using a regular text input, we're using data collection because that is what's going to allow us to then use ChatGPT to analyze their response.

So the context reply here is going to be text.

And I'm going to give you the exact question I'm asking people for my template.

We can say this, we can say.

Also wanted to ask, what are you hoping to get out of the template?

Anything specific you're trying to figure out?

We can say, when it comes to many chat, when it comes to video editing, when it comes to buying a house, when it comes to.

I don't know if you're an injury attorney, I don't know if there's any injury attorneys here.

But yeah, sure, podcasting, anything, whatever your niche is, just type in the word.

That's it.

Now we've got that.

So we ask the question in the voice note and then we ask it out loud because some people might not listen to the voice note and they might just read it.

Most people will listen to the voice note and actually read it and then type out a response.

Now the response here we're going to click on contacts reply is text.

We're going to expand the data collection window to 30 hours.

Now, do many people take these steps?

You would be mind blown at how many people answered this question.

We have to create two fields here.

Okay, follow along.

Field number one is going to be an input field.

So you can call it question input.

So you won't see any custom fields here probably.

But if you click on + user fields, we can use question input and then we'll hit create.

We can do the same thing again.

Now because we have an input, we need an output user field.

Question output, hit create.

So because this is the user input for what we're going to put into the Chat GPT prompt, we're going to use question input.

So when this person responds, depending on how they respond to this in a text form, whatever they say is then mapped to the custom field that we just created.

So it's in this placeholder.

Pretend we just like we have a jar.

Every person in our database has two jars.

They have an input jar and an output jar.

If we ask a question that says, I'm listening now to your, to your input.

Whatever you say is going right into your input jar.

Once they respond, it's now contained in this.

And then we can send this container anywhere.

We can send it to Chat gbt.

We can send it to kid.

You can do whatever we want to do with it.

Now the action on, reply.

Yes, you will.

I mean, I need, I need better energy out of.

You can't do this yourself.

100 you can action is going to be chat GPT.

Now, if you do not see this connection, what you have to do is go to the OpenAI developer dashboard.

You lock me in a room with your grandmother for five minutes, she's going to come out.

So if I go to custom user fields and I go to quote question inputs, basically what we're saying for this prompt is I just asked this person what they feel like they need the most help with when it comes to podcasting, many chat, whatever it is, and they said this entire response in this jar.

Here's the jar.

I want you to analyze everything in here based on, their response.

I want you to group them into one category from the following, doing the absolute best you can.

Now, for me, the categories are, beginner, I've never touched manychat before.

They use it, but they want to grow their email list and they want to collect more emails, they want to sell more products, they want to get more leads, they want to use it better with more technical features or this person's response makes no fucking sense.

Based off the question I just asked, they're trying to sell me, new windows for my house and I have no idea why.

And if you can't determine, just say you can't determine.

But thank them anyway for responding.

That's what's happening here.

So if somebody says that they want to learn more about voice notes and collecting emails, I would group them into technical features.

If they talk about collecting emails, group them into the email list growth and your output should only be one of those categories, nothing more, nothing less.

Also, if they mention wanting to sign new clients, assume that they have a service of some sort and they want to get more leads, that would not be sell more products.

It's very bit nuanced, right?

The reason I'm giving this prompt, so change it whenever you can, whenever you feel like you, you have this, whatever the categories are.

And if you can't, like what are.

Like if you're asking yourself, I don't know what my categories are.

Well, you can do a few different things, right?

You can just go into Chat GBT and be like, hey, I am a personal trainer in my, I'm trying to figure out like what areas I can then, you know, pitch clients into these, you know, or group them into these five different buckets and you know, it'll give you like five different responses and as you gather more data, like, I'm not saying the first iteration of this for you is going to be perfect, but if you've got five to start, four to start, three to start, and you're like, this isn't totally accurate, but it's definitely working in some capacity, you can always change it, right?

And then you would go in and change the and change the prompt that we're giving Chat GPT.

So the only other thing we have to change here is the latest user message, which we can just map to last text inputs and the Chat GPT results is going to be question output.

Great.

Question in the chat, what if they respond back with a and not text?

they will not go through the automation.

But there has almost never been an instance because I have typed out the question where somebody does respond with a voice note and say it's one out of every like 20002500 people.

Absolutely.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I can figure this out.

But you can also collect their name in the very same format as this.

And then we confirm that they're getting that lead magnet and then we are segmenting them based off of this question.

So this is the segmentation, this is the S in fsu.

And now for the upsell we're going to use condition custom user fields.

Question output is we'll list out what those categories are.

Right.

So I already have these pre built out so I'm going to copy and paste them into this automation, not freak anybody out.

Don't worry, don't worry.

We're gonna, we're gonna walk through like what this looks like.

I don't want to sit here and build out 40 of these like conditions.

But you will have to, you just have to duplicate them and then redo it.

So the condition here is going to be mine says manychat goal out.

But we just made a field called question output and then we can just change this to beginner.

Right.

So what is this actually doing?

Well it's analyzing their response because no matter what they say to this question, they're going to be grouped into one of these buckets.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

6 being.

I have no idea what this person said, but let's just thank them anyway.

And then in the same way that we validated, if this person has an email, if this jar matches this value, I want to send them this message.

That's all we're doing.

And this is where you can get very specific.

So this person said they're a beginner.

I'm not a copywriter.

I don't.

Not in sales.

I'm fucking terrible at writing this stuff.

But you can say, awesome, what do I have written here?

Let me just go over here.

You can use a voice note to actually use voice notes for this.

Super excited.

So quietly, very, very quietly, I have been working, on something and if has anyone, if anybody has been following me for the past like year or two.

it's actually almost been a year to the day since my very first version of a cohort.

and I haven't run one in like ten months.

because I have been building out these automations for people.

But I have been working on something along with like the agency side of this that is brand new and I've never done it before.

Is this something that I should really be doing?

Absolutely.

You can get very creative with this.

It's actually how I started doing this in the first place.

so when I, when I was running mini chat automation for real estate agents, we a lot of the clients just posted property tour videos.

So it was like, cool, we have a new listing or this one's for sale.

And it's in this Neighborhood this price point.

My background's also in real estate.

So the questions that we asked people in the automation it was or the questions that we asked people in leads forum from the company that I was working at was like obviously name, email, phone number but number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms they're looking for.

you can do price point, you can do neighborhood and you can kind of build out like CRM.

I don't know if you use like follow up boss or I know that you're in California so probably follow me tell me what CRM you use because it is possible.

But if you have like a home search website, whatever questions that you're.

Yeah use that's cool.

So like if you're using I work my local by the way if they're still alive.

But whatever questions you're asking on that website when leads first come through you can just ask them in many chat now and then you can map that data over the follow bus.

Very simple.

it can be price point locations, school district, whatever, whatever it is.

but you're going to get the most out of like people looking at pretty houses.

And then you can develop your own sort of like questionnaire or quiz where it's like do you, are you looking to move into this area or, or do you live within this area?

You're looking to upgrade or downgrade whatever it is.

I would just duplicate whatever exists on your current website and just move it to the manychat automation and instead of sending people to a website, you just collect their information there and then you push them off to look at the house.

Do it that way.

But listen, you never know.

Like some, some listing videos just fucking pop off like it's insane and they do really well.

And I, I would argue that manychat is one of the best use cases for many chat is real estate.

so Kit is very good at data.

and what I mean by that is, why it says I'm answering the fitness and training industry.

But yes, it will work in the fitness and training industry.

so Kit, it allows you to, number one, has the integration with chat, but it also allows you to create custom fields within Kit and then take the custom field data from ManyChat and map it to the custom Kit.

So it's like, because we.

This person, where they're at in their stage of their business, if they said beginner, I can then map that into Kit, and then I can actually start the email in that first email sequence with the, with the lead magnet and say, hey, you know, firstly want to say thank you.

I know you mentioned in your Instagram message that you're a beginner and you would do that with something that's called liquid code.

And Kit has their own, like, platform and native integration with, with liquid code that allows you to make your messages pretty personal.

I don't think that's.

If you're.

If you're, like, relatively new to the marketing side and building a personal brand, I don't think it's a deal breaker.

I have been using Kit.

So I'm actually moving away from Kit shortly over, to Beehive, because I want to centralize all my writing and have, like, my own substack, but also own the audience.

How much in the cohort will be focused on the freebie?

It's a really good question.

I would.

So you're getting people from the free thing.

It sounds like to a lot of agency work.

it's probably, it's probably more of like a back end nurture strategy than anything.

First of all, you're not selling your products through anychat right now.

So like I can almost guarantee the second that you start suggesting people buy this thing, you might just not be doing a diligent job.

I won't say like you're not doing a good job, but you might not be doing the most that requires you to sell these low ticket offers.

and if you're promoting the free thing but you're not converting to the low ticket, it's because you don't have a clear plan from like free to low ticket.

At least within manychat.

if you're doing more low ticket stuff, stories will work really fucking well for you.

Like stories, if you just post one story that says, hey, I have this free thing, if you want access to it DM me the word or apply to the story with the word XYZ and then you send people to that lead magnet and then you do the upsell to the first product, then, it can also be like you might want to hire somebody to write email sequences for you.

And I think if you have a weekly email newsletter or twice weekly or even bi weekly, that'll really help you with the low ticket sales.

even if you just put like P.S.

Here's the next best solution to this, and the position as a discount.

But yeah, I think it's probably a more of a many chat issue than a lead issue.

If you have 165k and you go viral a lot and you only have 10k on your email list, Most clients I work with have like 20% of their Instagram audience on their email list.

So you should be able to triple that very easily, especially with the Follow to DM feature.

I'm doing this for a business as a contractor, so trying to figure out how I can do this for others and make it back with clients I don't have or have done many chat for.

It's another good question.

it's a lot of this lives within manychat, so that would be within your realm.

So you don't.

I think if you're talking about higher ticket offers, it's important like the sales that you make from the automation itself for the 29 thing, 59 thing, 99 thing, whatever it is, it's not going to make whoever you're working for a trillionaire.

You're not going to become rich from that.

But again, I mentioned this before.

That sale does two really important things for you.

It filters out the person who is willing to already spend money with you, number one.

Number two, it's also somebody who's willing to spend time with you.

And if you can combine those things, you basically send that data off to the person you're working for.

You say, here's a list of everybody who has started spending 29 with us.

Let's run a workshop for them, charge them 29 bucks again.

And then on that workshop or you know, in some sort of like seminar, we can sell them into the higher price thing, or even just book sales calls from there.

You don't have to be the person running the show.

Like, this is, this is what I do for clients.

The client already has a marketing team.

I'm just setting that marketing team leads.

It's like I'm not running the entire strategy for this person.

Like one of my clients right now is like in the middle of a course launch and I'm just sending him data.

Like, here's all the emails we got.

Here's everybody who said they're a beginner.

Here's everybody who said they're interested in, you know, what you're building.

And then we tag them a certain way and then the marketing team goes out and they go after that people, that person, that people, and do it that way.

So an average click through rate for a Manychat automation to your followers is like 75%.

So if somebody triggers the automation, you can expect one out of every four to not even click the button.

It's higher, higher in terms of like conversion rate, meaning 75 is the average.

I have click through rates of like 90%.

The click through rate for new followers is like 15 to 20.

That's just trust, right?

It's like who the fuck is this guy DMing me like this?

But I'm not clicking that shit.

Some people will, you can definitely ask questions.

I really think it just depends on how you position the first.

So I always recommend you start with manychat early, because when you do have this product, the majority of your audience, depending on how much it costs, like, $29 product, most of your sales will come from email.

And this is all about, like, building trust by capturing data.

Keep on focusing, and building up an email list.

Like, whenever I sell something more than $29, it's almost always through email.

It's almost.

It's actually never on Instagram.

We're not selling, but informing, yes, because whoever has the data wins.

Then we have retainers.

We do retainers for anywhere between like 3,007, 500.

But yeah, the answer is it depends.
