To build the Cost center calculated field, we'll go to the admin tab and search calculated fields.
00:07
Next we'll create a new calculated field.
00:10
In this case, the object type that we want to create this on is based on the job.
00:14
We'll go ahead and give this a title like Cost Center.
00:17
And in this case we're looking for the Filter Bucket field type.
00:21
Let's click Create.
00:22
Next let's go ahead and add our first bucket.
00:25
In this case we would enter in our Cost center title.
00:28
This will obviously be unique to every organization.
00:32
So I'm just going to title mine Cost Center A.
00:36
And in this case I'm ready to map different departments into my Cost Center.
00:41
So I'll add a field to match and I'll search for the word department.
00:44
Next I'll define which department map to Cost Center A.
00:49
In this case I'll call it Design and Engineering.
00:52
I'll go ahead and add another bucket.
00:54
In this case I'll title it Cost Center B.
00:56
Again you would add the Cost Center.
00:58
That makes sense for your organization.
01:01
And in this case I'll select the departments that map to Cost Center B.
01:06
Let's go ahead and add People and Product.
01:10
Let's add one more Cost center just for the demonstration.
01:14
We'll call it Cost Center C.
01:16
And we'll again map the appropriate departments.
01:19
In this case just Sales.
01:20
go ahead and click Save.
01:22
now I could create reporting based on hires, open jobs and more.
01:27
Grouping the information by the Cost Center I've mapped here.
