Hi, my name is Blake Waldron and I'm the creator of Checkout Components, which is a popular Shopify plus extensibility app.
00:10
Black Friday is just around the corner and we're very aware of that.
00:14
So we've been working behind the scenes with some of the largest merchants using our product and what they need to be able to get the most success out of this sales period.
00:21
And we've built a number of features which I'm excited to share with you today.
00:28
The new product mapping feature gives merchants the ability to create hundreds of their own targeted recommendations.
00:33
Merchants can upload recommendation mappings via CSV or use the admin to map required products to recommendation products.
00:40
But they can then be used by any V3 upsell component post purchase.
00:52
Upsells have arrived at Checkout Components.
00:54
This new upsell feature leverages all the existing features that makes Checkout Components so great.
00:59
One of the great things is this can be integrated with any third party recommendations provider.
01:03
we even support downsell opportunities and discounting.
01:07
Post purchase Upsells is currently available as an experiment in checkout components.
01:11
If you want this enabled in your store, please reach out to us and we'll turn it on.
01:15
We can't wait to see what merchants do in terms of customer experience.
01:22
Checkout Components now supports field level localization and translation.
01:26
So if you're creating a content component, you can simply add a new language such as French, swap over to the French locale and type in a localized version of the content.
01:39
We've extended the conditional rendering system to be even smarter.
01:43
Now, on a single component, merchants can create multiple subset rules which can be compared against the customer and cart requirements.
01:50
So in this example, there's a conditional rule which says there must be a discount code of test and a minimum purchase amount of $120 or an Australian customer or a known customer that's logged in.
02:05
Moving forward, all components created with our product can actually utilise the same extension.
02:10
This is great for merchants because it means that you don't need to create an upsell component and then use the Upsell extension instead.
02:17
You'll just use the Checkout Components extension.
02:19
This is part of the broader architecture update.
02:22
But excitingly, this new architecture has led us to be able to render components 100% faster when using AI recommendations or an integration.
02:34
Sometimes products that are returned by those models are not the products that we want to display to customers in checkout.
02:39
We had a very simple hidden products feature, and today we're announcing that we've expanded this system.
02:45
Now you can select specific products, but you can also hide products by tags, product type, as well as product vendor we love working closely with merchants and many of the major recent product updates have been a result of us working closely with our users.
03:03
To support this collaboration and enable our team to continue to create ambitious features, we've developed an experiment system.
03:10
This system makes it possible for us to toggle on features to specific merchants that are looking to either provide feedback to the product roadmap or get ahead of the curve.
03:17
Before general Access, if you're interested to find out what experiments that we're running, head to the Settings Experiments page and click on Request Access on the desired feature you want access to.
03:29
There are a number of other product updates which you can find on checkoutcomponents.com or our change log or perhaps below if you're watching this video on our website.
03:37
Hopefully this has been interesting and exciting for you.
03:39
We're very excited and all the best with Black Friday Cyber Monday 2025.
