Memories: A Powerful Tool 📚

I just want to give you a quick overview of how memories work on NOAN They're incredibly powerful.

They are a way that the assistant can save preferences about how you want it to behave when you say certain things.

This could be you want it to give you shorter answers, longer answers, or it could be that you want to trigger it, some of its, tooling and go and execute things for you.

So let me show you a quick but slightly silly example.

From from now on, I want you to refer to me as Big Dog.

So the assistant is going to think about this.

He's going to realize that this is a preference.

And you'll see there it says it needs to create a new memory and it's going to call me Big Dog from now on.

The other thing, though, that's really important is the assistant can also forget these memories if you ask it to.

Actually, that's silly.

Don't do that.

Just, call me Neil.

And you'll see there the assistant has forgotten that memory and now adapted it.

This is incredibly powerful because what it enables you to do is trigger the NOAN assistant to do a variety of different behaviors depending on what you want.

Let me show you a slightly more complex one.

Now.

let me show you how this combines with facts.

I have in my fax a newsletter format.

For note, we have two newsletter formats.

We have a change log where we send out updates, and then here we have a blog newsletter format.

Now I've saved a preference with the assistant as a memory that whenever I say the words blog newsletter, it will go look at that fact.

And then it will go search the URL for our blog.

There you go.

And then it will create a newsletter with five of the top blogs that we can then send out.

That just shows you how you can combine memories with the different tools that the assistant has at its disposal.

Whether that is search tasks, look at notes, priorities.

This opens up a whole new world.

For example, you might just say to the assistant, whenever I say, morning, look at my top priorities, tell me what they are, and then go and do a search of my competitors and tell me what they're doing.

And it will execute that for you.

So all you have to do is talk to the assistant and it will automatically work out whether it's a memory or not that it needs to add.

There is a limit of roughly 20 core memories that the assistant will keep for you, and And the way you can turn it on and off is in your settings.

You'll see the assistant and then it will have the ability to turn on and off memories.
