Streamlining SOPs with AI 📝

So let's talk about standard operating procedures and how most business owners actually use them pretty poorly.

When most business owners get started with SOPs, they usually struggle on two avenues.

The first thing is they try to incorporate too much into a single sop, incorporating project management with marketing, sales with operations.

What this ultimately does is it creates discombobulation and a huge network in which no one really knows who's responsible for what.

The other area where a lot of business owners drop the ball is not consistently using templates to create their SOPs.

Most SOPs end up looking like this a gigantic wall of text with a bunch of gibberish written on it that maybe people pay attention to once, but then easily forget and don't know how to access.

A better way is to keep the consistency, but put your template in a format that matches your brand and more specifically in an area that people can use and iterate on.

I want you to try this.

The next time you're creating an sop, try recording yourself using a tool like Tella or Loom, narrating step by step what you're doing.

Then take that transcript and put it into a tool like Gamma to create a visually appealing presentation on the SOP that matches your brand.

And.

And then finally take that Gamma and put it into a hub like notebook where everyone on your team can access and create study guides from.

By using a process like this, you're not only saving a tremendous amount of time and eliminating headache, but you're making the process of creating an SOP so much easier by giving your team a tool to document in real time, no matter where they're at, or whatever tool they're using, and then turning that video into a stylish presentation that is actually fun and engaging to look at and to learn from, not just an eyesore, and then finally turning that thing into a knowledge hub, something that people can ask questions to and learn from.

So you can't stop the chaos this week, but you can learn to control it if you want.
