00:00
Hey, everyone.
00:00
Got a bunch of updates to our Zooms, feature to share with you today, so let's jump straight into it.
00:06
The first big update is that we have improved the algorithm, which decides where to zoom in and zoom out for you if you're using our auto zoom feature, only available if you are recording with the Mac app.
00:19
this now means that the zooms get applied more predictably and more accurately.
00:24
And we've added some presets so you have some control over, how it decides where to zoom in and zoom out.
00:31
So if you pick subtle, you'll get shallower zooms.
00:35
There won't be so many of them, and they'll have longer durations.
00:39
At the other end of the spectrum, you've got intense, where you have these really deep zooms that go to over 200%.
00:45
There'll be quite a few of them and they'll have shorter durations.
00:48
So I like subtle, so I'm going to stick with that.
00:50
And then if I hit generate, wait a second or so.
00:52
This is kind of a long video.
00:54
Now, you can see we've got our zooms added on the timeline here.
00:58
Once they're added, just like before, you've got all the good stuff of resizing by clicking and dragging, moving the timing of it by clicking and dragging as well.
01:09
And, there's a few new things which I'll show you in a moment.
01:14
But before we do that, I'm going to switch over to the setup panel and I'm going to show you another new zooms feature, which is where you can control the animation style.
01:24
So you can pick between snappy, moderate and gentle.
01:27
This controls the spring animation, which drives the animation you see in the Zoom The reason it's here in the setup panel is that it doesn't just apply to zooms, but it also applies to layout transitions, which also uses spring animation.
01:45
So when you set this, you'll be setting the sort of overall feel for the movement in your video.
01:51
And we think it's good to kind of have this aligned so that you have this sort of consistent feel to all of the animations in your video.
01:58
Rather than having your transitions of your layouts feeling different from your zooms, it should have this cohesive look and you can control that right here.
02:08
I like snappy, so I am going to stick with that.
02:11
So now let's jump back to the zoom timeline and, and I'll show you a few of the other things that we've added here.
02:18
So the first is that you can now Click and drag to add a zoom directly on the timeline.
02:25
So you just go like this and then you get a zoom, added where you can then go and update the properties up here.
02:33
this saves you from having to like click and then find a point on the timeline and then click Add Zoom.
02:38
You can just click and drag and, and you get a zoom added in real time to the exact duration that you want right there.
02:45
Easy as that.
02:46
The next thing is that you can now copy and paste zooms.
02:50
So if I just click on this zoom here, hit command C on my keyboard and then I go here, say and then hit command V that has pasted the zoom with the exact same setting as the one that we.
03:04
So if you need to work your way through the video and apply a bunch of identical zooms throughout, this is the perfect tool for that.
03:13
Related to it, Tella, will now remember which settings you used on your last zoom.
03:19
Was it a manual tracked zoom?
03:21
Was it auto tracked zoom?
03:23
What was your scale?
03:25
And then, so if I just zoom in a bit here.
03:27
Now when I add a zoom here, it uses the exact same config.
03:31
So it's manual and it has the scale set to 222%.
03:36
When you add a new zoom, we won't carry across the target because that tends to be kind of different, at each point in the video.
03:45
It's not going to be the exact same place.
03:47
If you do want to copy over the target to the next zoom that you're making, then use the copy zoom feature and that will copy everything, to the, to the next zoom that you add.
When are we getting auto zoom on windows?
