And now, a survey of 825 social media professionals confirms this, with 70.3% of respondents reporting that Instagram carousels are their best performers, eking out short-form video. There’s good reasons for this… 1️⃣Carousels are easier to be good at and make interesting. Most people try too hard to make the perfect video, which is a hell of a lot harder to be good at, not to mention they take a lot longer to create. 2️⃣I don’t know about you, but when I scroll through videos, I do so really fast, but with carousels, I’ll actually swipe through and read. This increases time on post, which increases reach. They’re also more save-worthy, further signaling this is valuable content to share with more people. You may be thinking, “Well, who cares? We’re B2B.” And I’ll snipe back some statistics that may surprise you: 🤯LinkedIn has 1.1B members worldwide, while Instagram has 2B+ monthly active users. According to a recent source, “approximately 840 million LinkedIn users are also active on Instagram monthly, representing 84% of LinkedIn’s total user base. And if 84% of LinkedIn users are also on Instagram, that equates to roughly 840 million people who use both platforms monthly. This overlap is among the highest for any major social platform pairing, second only to Facebook’s overlap with other networks.”
