Term	Definition
Clip	A single recorded segment. Videos can be composed of multiple clips.
Layout	How your screen recording and camera are arranged in the editor (e.g. side-by-side, picture-in-picture, fullscreen). Layouts don’t affect recording — to record without your camera, toggle it off in the recorder.
Multi-layout	Using different layouts at different points in your video.
Auto-layout	AI-powered automatic layout switching based on your content.
Scene	A section of your video timeline containing one or more clips.
Playlist	A collection of videos that can be shared together with a single link.
Embed	An iframe snippet that lets you display a Tella video on any website.
Transcript	Automatically generated text of everything spoken in your video.
Subtitles	On-screen text generated from your transcript.
Studio Voice	AI audio enhancement that improves voice clarity and reduces noise.
Streaming upload	Tella’s upload method that sends your recording to the cloud in real-time as you record.
Workspace	Your Tella account space where all your videos, playlists, and team members live.
Export	Rendering your video to a downloadable file (MP4).
Timelapse	An export mode that speeds up your video, useful for long recordings.
Custom domain	Using your own domain (e.g. videos.yourcompany.com) for sharing Tella videos.
