What you actually get inside the course is access to updates.
00:04
I just finished rerecording the, basically the whole thing, well like 85 or 90% of it to keep up with their UI updates because they released a lot of cool stuff and so you have access to that here in the course updates module.
00:20
It's just an embedded database where I make notes of stuff that I've changed and then there's options for support and there's a call calendar if you also happen to be in the club, if you want more hands on support for that.
00:33
So modules one through five are just tech tutorials basically.
00:38
I wanted to first introduce you to the platform, get you really comfortable with how all the intricacies work, how permissions work, how to impersonate a client, how to install your domain and email for your customized notifications, how to customize the icons and the banners and set up boards and use them and where the filters and sort settings are and how to use custom labels and all of this stuff.
01:02
Right, but that is not chronological necessarily.
01:06
So if you feel pretty comfortable in a module and you're like, I don't need to learn anymore, I, you can come back to it later.
01:12
You can skip around to what you're most interested first.
01:15
Like just pick whatever you want.
01:17
It's sort of like a resource library essentially.
01:20
Kitchen Basics goes over settings, like basics of the platform.
01:25
and then module 2, 3, 4 and 5 are specific page types in Kitchen.
01:32
So boards, milestones and reminders, those are lessons that cover those specific features.
01:38
Conversations that covers those specific features.
01:41
Most videos I'd say are on average five or 10 minutes.
01:44
There are a couple that are 40 minutes long, but those are longer overviews or walkthroughs of a system that I'm giving you.
01:51
And then module four is embeds, and then module five is really basic because it's docs, invoices and quotes.
01:58
My personal feeling on that is that I choose not to use their finances because I have a CRM for that.
02:04
So this is very basic coverage and you'll learn best by doing and testing.
02:09
But anyway, so in module 6 this is where we get into the systems part.
02:13
So once you've gotten really comfortable with using the platform, then we start talking about systems.
02:18
So for, specifically for module 6, this is content collection, in other words, how to set up the portal.
02:27
So I'll click on that lesson.
02:28
This is one of the longer videos, but every, every video has chapters so you know what you're getting into.
02:34
They're actually listed below the video.
02:36
But they're on especially on videos that are more than like two to three minutes.
02:41
If they're shorter than that then I probably didn't bother.
02:43
But anyway.
02:43
But they also are on the video so you can skip around to here too.
02:47
And then below that is the actual guide.
02:50
And this is a interactive checklist basically where you can open everything and check off things as you go.
02:57
There's as much copy and paste information as I can possibly give you.
03:02
Because kitchens template systems are not shareable between accounts.
03:06
It's literally impossible for me to create a template and then just give you a one click apply it to my account system.
03:13
But I want you to be able to see what I'm doing and how I'm using it and then take that information and create something that will work best for you and how you like to work.
03:23
So this is the closest that I can get you to that and I've set it up in such a way that hopefully it's easy for you to navigate and this video is just walking you through that checklist.
03:32
Then I walk you through how to actually set up a new project for a client and then some tools and resources to help with that.
03:40
And same thing but for VIP days specifically.
03:44
So this one is for new websites and the other one is for VIP days if you happen to do those and then creating a new folder, project folder from scratch.
03:53
So lots of set it up with me and then I also give you access to one of the videos that I've recorded to share with my own clients that walks them through how to use the portal and how what to expect.
04:06
So so you can see it as an example.
04:08
I encourage you to make your own video and share it with your clients.
04:13
Kind of walking through the same types of things.
04:15
And then the form template for the content guide, this is actually a one click copy to your account.
04:21
It's through Tally and I'm showing you how to use it.
04:25
It is on, I use it on the free plan so even the copy that you get from me can be used on Tally's free plan.
04:33
This video again is on the longer side but I'm walking you through how to what the form actually includes, why I made the choices that I did and all of that stuff.
04:43
And then once you've copied the form to your Tally account, then I walk you through how to customize little bits of it.
04:49
And then there's also AI prompts so you have access to the Google Doc or a suggested AI generator for copy that is following Rach's specific framework for the time being, that one is also free, but I don't know if that'll be that way forever.
05:04
Like, I don't control that.
05:07
So you have access to the prompts and then I show you examples of how to use those prompts with the content that's submitted through the form from your clients to help them generate draft copy to start with for the project that can then be edited.
05:24
So that takes some of the pressure off if they can't afford a copywriter.
05:28
Or if you don't want to do the copywriting yourself, don't have time to do the copywriting yourself, don't offer that.
05:34
Whatever they.
05:35
This is kind of the compromise, like, hey, I can help you draft something to start with and we'll revise it from there.
05:41
So that's what this is for.
05:42
If you don't want to do that, you can totally skip it.
05:45
And then module 7 is systems and Processes.
05:49
I'm, recording a video for the booking process map here.
05:53
It's a video coming soon, but this actually shows you all of the steps from inquiry to offboarding and support, literally step by step, which ones feed into each other, what, where the options are for, like what email sends out and when, all of that stuff.
06:08
And then you can.
06:08
This is just a canva whiteboard so you can zoom in and copy paste if you want to.
06:14
And then you also have a lot of templates.
06:19
So I have this video addressing common questions about using contact forms.
06:24
And below that I also have a contact form tally template.
06:28
I have a video, walking you through how to use kitchens contact forms if you don't want to use an external one.
06:36
And also Dubsado forms and workflows and a suggestion for like how to get Dubsado set up if you don't already have it.
06:43
And then I also have a custom GPT which you're welcome to use.
06:47
I love it.
06:48
I use it all the time for myself.
06:50
I created it for myself and then I realized, I could probably just share this.
06:54
So do you have access to the custom GPT to write emails or respond to weird, you know, anything that you're not comfortable or need help writing quicker.
07:05
You also have options for bad fit email templates that are literally just copy and paste options.
07:11
I think there's like five or so in there.
07:13
And then this one is scheduler system that I really love called Bree.
07:17
It's created by the founder of Acuity.
07:20
He sold it to Squarespace, got bored later, I guess, and created Brealey to do the things that he never got acuity to be able to do.
07:28
So it's very powerful, very cheap.
07:30
And it's also HIPAA compliant, so it meets a lot of privacy standards, but it's really powerful.
07:35
So if have a scheduler and you're looking for something that can do specific things, this is a walkthrough.
07:41
And then I also include.
07:42
There's a lot of videos on this lesson.
07:44
I also have a lesson for how to make a Google Calendar to share project availability.
07:51
How to manually create new Kitchen folders.
07:54
Yes, that is just my YouTube video because it covers it pretty well.
07:57
And then the auto create for new Kitchen folders, that's actually how to use the Zap.
08:03
And then you get the ZAP template for whichever option you want to use.
08:09
Then I also have an SEO tracker which you can get the template for.
08:13
So this is a Google sheet that allows you to track the SEO updates that you're doing on any website.
08:19
You just make a copy of it for every client that you use it for.
08:23
And basically you can fill in like, where is this page linked?
08:27
What is the status of this page?
08:30
So like, is it in the main navigation?
08:32
Is it in the footer?
08:32
Is it hidden?
08:33
Is it published?
08:34
Is it in draft?
08:35
Did you include an image thumbnail?
08:37
What's the title?
08:38
What's the, the excerpt?
08:39
If it has one, does it have a shareable social media image?
08:43
Does it have categories and tags?
08:45
What's the SEO title?
08:46
All of that stuff.
08:47
So you can see it in one spreadsheet.
08:48
It also has a separate tab for blog post related stuff.
08:52
Same idea.
08:53
There's also a calculated value in the corner here for putting in the score if you're using SEO space so that you can see a before and after.
09:02
So it clients can actually get a hold of this.
09:05
This is a great way to pass off a database to a client and say like, this is basically your deliverables.
09:12
Here's the URL link to each page, here's the status of each page, here's the SEO that we did for each page, here's.
09:20
And then you can see where all the holes are.
09:22
This page doesn't have categories, this page doesn't have tags, whatever.
09:25
And the same thing for the blog, that, that one I think is actually the blog list because it has tags and categories.
09:31
That's a searchable area for them to look through and find all their content too.
09:35
So they can grab a quick link to a blog post if they want to share it, et cetera.
09:39
So that's a really handy thing to do.
09:41
I use that a lot for my own clients, especially for redesigned websites.
09:45
Then you have form templates for client reviews.
09:49
You don't have to use Tally for this, but if you do, there's a one click copy to your account template for that and then you have access to my resource hub.
09:58
This is also included in the Web Designer starter kit, just FYI.
10:03
So if you happen to have already purchased that, you will already have access to this.
10:06
It's the same thing.
10:08
And then organizing the Tally form, this is how like if you have a bunch of forms in your Tally account, this is how to keep them organized.
10:16
when you're still on the free plan.
10:17
Then there are tech options for recording screen shared video tutorials for clients with or without showing your face on camera, what the recommended tech options are and even softwares to use.
10:29
And I walk through the possible softwares.
10:32
Then you have basic support ticketing for your clients.
10:37
So if you want them to be able to submit support requests during a support window or afterwards so that you can have an opportunity to say yes, I can do that, but here's how much it will cost.
10:49
this is just a basic support ticketing system done or managed in Kitchen.
10:54
How it works, how to set it up and explaining all the things and then on optional zap that goes with it if you want to automate some of that process.
11:05
And then last getting client feedback.
11:08
This is a video walkthrough of several different solutions.
11:11
Why I think this is important and I'm giving some options down here at the end of the lesson.
11:16
There's also a few bonuses so if you leave a review for your experience in here, then you unlock access to a separate support system which is like an additional mini course freebie.
11:32
And then there's a Dubsado setup kit and there's a lot of Canva templates.
11:37
All of these are used throughout the system.
11:40
So if you want a quick copy and you don't want to have to figure out what the size is, all of these are available in here.
11:47
This is for task cards.
11:49
So each task can have like a cover picture that shows in the Kanban view and that's pre sized to fit.
11:55
And then folder covers are specifically what you might guess.
12:00
They're like literally banners on the folder main page in Kitchen.
12:04
And then there's Pinterest instructions that go into the form.
12:08
There's also font option graphics.
12:10
This is a radio option in the content guide so that they can pick what very basic font styles they have a preference for.
12:17
Like sans serif or serif or whatever.
12:19
And these are the actual graphics that I used for those so that if you want to slightly change the font style or pick a different one, you're welcome to do that and then re upload them into your form copy and the same thing for the image option.
12:34
So for all the radio images, this is the size that you can put your images into so it's pre sized for you.
12:40
There's also a couple of bonuses that I found that are useful that surprise people and then there's additional topics in here too that are just bonuses, just kind of a roundup of additional useful information.
12:52
But yeah, that's pretty much it.
12:54
So long story long, the point of this is to teach you how the tool works and then how to use the tool to implement my specific system.
13:04
And then I'm reminding you constantly throughout the thing that you can customize any of this to fit how you actually want to do the work yourself.
13:11
So I hope that's helpful to get a sneak peek of the new version.
