Alright guys, welcome to this first video where I'll be showing you why email marketing is a complete game changer, why is the secret for many successful dropshippers.

So my name is Yip and I'm the founder of Ecomflows where we helped over 400 dropshippers with setting up the email marketing automations.

So today I'm going to make a video on the secret of many successful dropshippers and we'll be going through the following subjects.

So we will go into the problems that you're currently facing, why email marketing is a game changer, how email marketing can increase your profits and how to get started including some valuable tips.

So as a dropshipper we all know life is not easy and there are many problems that you're currently facing.

So one of the first problems that you're facing is you have increased risk on blocks and holds because because your customers open up disputes which will eventually of course lead to these payment blocks and holds.

The second problem that you're currently facing are high acquisition costs because ads are getting more expensive, have like high CPMs, high CPCs, etc.

And this eventually leads to low profit margins because of like the high competition which will eventually cut down in your margins.

and the last one, lack of repeated customers because you simply do not have any kind of retention marketing going on.

So eventually your one time buyers don't return which makes it way harder to eventually scale to the next level.

So this is a quote from the University of Harvard, and they did a business review and in this business review they come to the conclusion that acquiring a customer can cost five times more than retaining an existing one.

So this is a big opportunity.

So first of all, why is email marketing a game changer?

The first one is for increasing the customer lifetime value.

So we're doing that by encouraging repeated purchases basically through email because let's say someone bought already one time, then we send another email to basically encourage them to buy another time.

And we're also recovering lost sales by let's say an open checkout.

And here at the left side you can see some results that we've achieved for customers of ours.

as you can see at the left side, that's the total revenue the person gained.

And on the right side is the attributed revenue which comes from email marketing.

basically more than 25% of his total revenue comes out of email marketing.

The second thing why it's a game changer is because it's a very high ROI and it's a very cost effective way to eventually scale your business.

Why?

Because email marketing can earn up to $36 for For every $1 spent.

And also it's a very effective way to retarget eventually all of your leads.

To make sure that they finalize the purchase at your web shop.

And one other thing, it's basically free revenue on Autopilot, especially if you have the flows going on, because those email sequences basically run work for you and because it's a system, it works 24,7 for you without having to do anything.

and one other thing, why it's a major game changer is because you can also reduce the chances on blocks and holds by increasing the quality of the communication to your customer about the parcel or about the order.

That's why email marketing is a must have for every dropshipper.

So how does email marketing increase profit and how can it work for you?

So first of all, like I said previously, we're re engaging with your audience.

We will be doing that by recovering lost sales by retargeting them and restimulating repeated purchases by let's say a post purchase upsell.

So when someone already bought a product we will retarget them so so they eventually buy another product.

So one other thing is finding the right time with the right offer.

So how do you do that all?

with testing.

So the first thing is find the right timing to send all of your emails and then the other one, know when to send what offer to your customers.

How do you do that?

Just by testing.

And at the right side you basically see can see the marketing funnel.

And so if someone is in the awareness stage you can send them like A small discount with like a pop up and let's say someone is in a retention phase, you can send them like a higher discount to basically make sure that they will get redirected to the web shop to eventually buy another product.

So all nice, but yep.

What are the results?

So first of all, like I said, because we're retargeting the customer which you already paid for in the ads, we're increasing the profits that you have and we're also lowering the chance on blocks and holds because you can basically Increase the quality of the communication to your customer so the customer doesn't open up a dispute and therefore you're reducing the chances on blocks and holds.

And I'm not only an email marketer, I'm also a sleeping consultant.

because of course higher profits leads to less stress and therefore also better sleep.

So now we already seen the benefits of email marketing.

Now it's the real question how to get started with email marketing.

And a few basic tips.

First of all the email Marketing Principles 101.

The first one is write short scannable subject lines so your emails will get opened.

That's one of the first things we have to make sure, that is in place.

Afterwards use a personalization like let's say use the first name tag, Or make sure to use some other dynamic stuff in your emails.

And then like I said previously, of course we have to send the right message at the right time.

So basically do your research and make sure to adjust it accordingly.

And then one other thing, see yourself as a customer, you really don't want to forget that on the other side of the screen is also just a normal person.

just also treat them like one.

Then we go over to the other side, there we have designs that convert.

So design is basically everything.

if you have like a shitty design the people won't trust it and they want to go over to like a conversion.

First of all, make sure that your emails are clean and mobile friendly because nowadays like 80% of the people open up their emails on their phones.

So make sure to always design mobile first.

So one other thing is consistent and clear branding.

So make sure you use like the same fonts, the same colors, the same language of course, that kind of stuff.

Make sure to have the basis in place.

Then one other thing is make sure that your call to actions are spot on.

and basically focus on the benefit that the customer will receive.

make sure to minimize the friction, especially dropshipping.

We really want to focus on conversions.

So make sure that the email template is looking clean without any distractions.

So in general just keep it simple.

don't put any distractions, make sure that your emails are straightforward.

and also make sure to only include one call to action per email to make it as seamless as possible.

So basically in general the rule with email marketing is make sure to build the trust.

If you do not have the trust, then there won't be any conversions.

So trust is number one and then the rest will follow.

so the conclusion of all of this is make sure to build a trust by sending out minimized emails which also look good and convert good and make sure to send them at the right time with your right offer.

And then you will see the power of email marketing which can basically lead up to 15 to 25% additional revenue even on autopilot.
