# Add your custom domain

<Warning>This feature is available for **Tella Premium** users only.</Warning>

You can connect a custom domain to your Tella workspace so your shared videos appear on your own branded URL — like `videos.yourdomain.com`.

### 1. Open domain settings

1. Log into your Tella account.

2. Click your **workspace name** in the top-left corner.

3. Go to **Settings** → **Domain**.

### 2. Choose your domain type

You'll be asked to choose between two options:

* **Subdomain** (Recommended)\
  Use this if you already have a website. Example: `videos.yourdomain.com`

* **Root domain**\
  Use if you want a completely separate domain like `yourcustomdomain.com`.

<Tip>**Most users choose a subdomain** because it's easier to set up alongside your main site.</Tip>

### 3. Enter your domain

Type in the subdomain or domain you'd like to use, such as `videos.yourdomain.com`.

Then click **Submit**.

### 4. Set up DNS

To connect your domain, you'll need to add a **CNAME record** with your domain provider (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Squarespace, etc).

**DNS Configuration:**

| Field      | Value                                  |
| ---------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Type**   | `CNAME`                                |
| **Name**   | `tv` *(or your chosen subdomain)*      |
| **Target** | `cname.tella.tv`                       |
| **Proxy**  | **Disabled** *(Cloudflare users only)* |

>
> * Namecheap

### 5. Verify your domain

Once you've added the DNS record:

1. Go back to Tella.

2. Click **Refresh**.

3. You should see a **"Verified"** message once the DNS is active.

### 6. Share videos from your domain

Now when you share a video from your Tella workspace, it will be hosted on your custom domain:

This keeps your links branded and consistent with your website or company identity.
