# Notification settings

> Choose which email notifications Tella sends you and your workspace.

Tella sends emails when things happen on your videos and in your workspace — views, comments, exports, and more. You can turn each of these on or off independently.

## How to open notification settings

1. Click your avatar in the top right and open **Settings**.

2. Go to **Notifications**.

You'll see a **Personal** section that controls emails sent to you, and (if you're a workspace owner) a **Workspace** section for emails sent to all owners.

## Personal notifications

These toggles only affect emails sent to your account.

### View notifications

Get an email for every view on your videos. Useful if you're sharing one-off videos and want to know the moment someone watches.

**Default:** On

### Milestones notifications

Get an email when one of your videos hits a view milestone — 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, or 500 views. A lower-volume alternative to **View notifications** if every-view emails are too noisy.

**Default:** On

  If you want some signal but not every-view spam, turn **View notifications** off and leave **Milestones notifications** on.

### Export notifications

Get an email when an export you started is ready to download. Especially useful for long exports where you've closed the **Preparing download** modal — the email gives you the link when it's done. See [Share & download](/docs/help/sharing/share-and-download-a-video) for the full export flow.

### Comment notifications

Get an email when someone comments on one of your videos. See [Comments](/docs/help/sharing/comments) for the full commenting flow.

**Default:** On

### Product tips

Get occasional emails about ways to get more out of Tella, including new AI skills and workflows. This includes the welcome email Tella sends when you first connect an external AI assistant through the [Tella MCP server](/docs/mcp-server).

## Workspace notifications

These toggles are only visible to workspace **Owners** and control emails sent to every owner of the workspace.

### Member joined notifications

Send an email to workspace owners when a new member joins. Handy for tracking onboarding when you have an open invite link or SCIM provisioning in place.

**Default:** On
